From the moment I arrived, everything was excellent. The parking attendants, the receptionist, and the doctor’s nurse were all friendly and professional, creating a very welcoming environment. I was seen right at the time of my appointment, which I really appreciated. The dermatologist, Dr. Camacho impressed me with the thoroughness of the exam, he carefully checked all of my skin, something I had never experienced before at other offices. He also took the time to answer all of my questions, and I never felt rushed. Overall, it was a perfect experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend UM Health Dermatology and this doctor for anyone seeking excellent, attentive care!
I regret going to see him and will never go back. He was professional while in the visit, but after it, I read his note and saw diagnoses he put in there and recommendations that were never discussed. Doctors can bill more if they put more diagnoses. It ended up being $220 after insurance for less than a 10 minute talking visit where he didn’t come within 4 feet of me.
I didn’t like this doctor at all. He was cold, distant and he didn’t seem to care. I wish I read some of these reviews before my appointment.
Took a family member to this doctor cause they have dark spots in their face so the doctor requested a cream that is made through a third-party lab. Which is fine with us, but the problem was when the lab contacted us to charge over the phone $60 plus shipping. We were told by the representative that they have been getting complaints from all the customers that they’re getting empty package. The rep told me we’re not responsible if the order gets lost and transit we don’t refund and we don’t replace the item. You will have to order again and pay shipping again. So I ask the representative if you are getting so much complaints about this happening why don’t you guys take matters to fix the issue The Rep didn’t care. So I told them thank you for contacting me and letting me know this so I was not able to get the cream. My other option was to go in person to get it from the lap, but it’s too far. I don’t drive to disability. So I contact Dr. Camacho‘s office to let them know what I was told over the phone and they left me in the air without any answers. I was told that I was gonna get a call back from the office to let me know what was the next step to do but it’s been more than a few days and no one contact me back. Doctor Camacho if you read this see what’s happening because the lab told me that they can assure me if the item will get to me or not.
In 2014-2015 i was his patient and he gave me antiobiotics for my acne and didn’t properly explain to me the usage and for some reason it was reoccurring meds for 3-6 months. When i told him he was completely shocked and I knew it was an error on his behalf and his staff. The nurses never picked up the phone for weeks until i gave them a bad review with UM all of a sudden they called back, promptly. I wouldn’t recommend him at all, due to the medicine I threw up so much i lost a tooth. I wonder if i can file a formal complaint as there are medical records of this from cvs pharmacy and UM hospital. I don’t know how he is still has an office there. I think its medical neglect.
The staff in the lobby was courteous. However, the staff in the office and the MA were horrible and extremely unfriendly. I said good morning twice and it was not acknowledged. Dr. Camacho took his time and explained everything. Too bad his staff is so unfriendly.
