5/5 There are few places where upon visiting, dining, and leaving, I find myself realizing - I can't wait to return. The atmosphere, service, quality of food, and sake selection are absolutely brilliant. I thoroughly enjoy eating here and have recommended it to all my local friends. Gyu San is 🤌🏼🔥I was enjoying the experience so much I forgot to take photos of all the meats, will remedy that next visit. You can dress up or go casual here, both are fine. I'd say you could bring children if you wanted to, however the crowd seems to be more young adults.
This is hands down the best ayce bbq and sushi spot in Maryland! The quality on the meat is unlike anywhere else (AYCE). We got the highest tier and it was so worth it, the a5 wagyu just disappears in your mouth, and it’s a no brainer to add on the sushi rolls for $5 more. There was this wagyu, uni, tuna roll that was insane! The atmosphere is amazing along with the decor. Shoutout to our server Sam and the manager Kenny! Really made us feel like family.
Great atmosphere and great food, customer service was amazing, waiter with middle part tended to our needs efficiently and effectively. Would come again and recommend to friends !
I tried their Diamond course and thought it was delicious overall. The food was excellent and, while it is a bit on the pricier side, the quality definitely shows. I really enjoyed their wagyu cuts, the wagyu sandwich, and the wagyu fried rice. I also tried some of their nigiri, which wasn’t bad at all. They do offer some specialty rolls, too, but none of the ones listed really caught my interest. I do wish I had the chance to try other rolls or nigiri that weren’t on the ayce menu. I was also craving a taiyaki, and it did not disappoint at all. It was very crispy and a perfect way to end the meal. My server, Janice, was lovely and attentive. There wasn’t much wait time between rounds, which made the experience even better. I had never cooked lobster tail before and was nervous about undercooking it or messing it up, so I asked her for help. Even though she was busy, she cooked it perfectly. I was thoroughly pleased, and it definitely makes me want to come back.
Went here on Friday for dinner. The food was very good. I inhaled the gyoza since they were so light and tasty. The scallops (not pictured) were probably my next favourite. The meats were also of good quality and were complimented well by the dipping sauces. The fried chicken was really good when dipped in its sauce, but not so great on its own. The yakisoba was good in small amounts, but split between two people was way too much because of how salty it is. The restaurant was very clean and service was rather fast and friendly. The overall noise in the restaurant was low enough to talk. I would come back, but it is a bit on the pricier end and I’m not sure if the food justifies that level of pricing.
Gyu San in Columbia was such a great experience from start to finish. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has a really fun, upbeat vibe—perfect for a date night or a meal with friends/family. The food was excellent: super fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. Everything came out hot and flavorful, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. We loved how consistent it was—each dish felt thoughtfully made, not just "good enough." And I have to shout out our server, Toan, he truly made the night. He was friendly, attentive, and professional without hovering. He explained the menu clearly, gave great recommendations, checked in at the perfect times, and made sure everything was exactly right. You can tell he genuinely cares about the guests having a great experience. We’ll absolutely be back, and if you go, ask for Toan you’ll be in great hands.
This Japanese barbecue restaurant delivers an authentic and memorable dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, creating a comfortable setting for enjoying a meal with friends or family. The wagyu beef and other meats are exceptionally fresh, beautifully marbled, and incredibly tender. Once grilled, the meat becomes juicy and full of rich, smoky flavor that melts in your mouth. The dipping sauces perfectly enhance the natural taste of the ingredients. The service is attentive and friendly, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves high-quality Japanese barbecue.
