Fresh Market

We drove to Chinatown today for lunch and for shopping. First we went to Fresh market to buy our fruits and vegetables. They have a very large selection and everything seems so fresh. The place is so busy and hectic. Great prices.

Extremely disappointing experience. I went shopping here today and was helped by a female cashier wearing black-frame glasses. I bought a lot of groceries — eggs, milk, several drinks, sausages, bread, and frozen dumplings — basically things that can’t be carried without a bag. When I asked for a bag at the end, she had already finished the transaction and said she couldn’t add one anymore. She told me the bags were $2 each and asked if I had cash. I only had a few coins, no bills. Instead of noticing that I obviously couldn’t carry everything, she coldly told me to use the store’s small produce bags to take my groceries home. I was alone and only had two hands — that was impossible. Then she even blamed me, saying I should’ve asked for a bag earlier. She completely ignored my situation the whole time and showed zero willingness to help. Fortunately, another staff member eventually helped me and found two bags (one of which had no handles, making it really hard to carry). One star for this cashier — she took my money but didn’t take responsibility for her job and even blamed the customer for her own mistake.

Great Chinese market with an amazing choice of fresh food and chinese specialities. It is also interesting from a cultural point of view, thus making sure to pay a visit while in Mott St.

Some of the food is not that fresh and they don't take away the expired food timely. The service is bad, when you ask them questions they won't able to help.

Quick stop for chinese groceries! That being said, I love going here to get necessities such as vegetables, meat, rice and hygiene products since it’s fairly cheap and in a convenient location for me. They specialize in Chinese groceries so you can find sauces, frozen dumplings, a variety of snacks, utensils and other goods! *they have a $10 credit card minimum *be patient, the place is usually packed and a lot of elders go here so be CAREFUL!

Best grocery store ever - they have the best prices in Manhattan. I love shopping here because they have everything from peanut butter, great cuts of meat, beautifully fresh zucchini, and my favorite Chinese foods You got to go here - scallion pancakes, 5+ brands of soup dumplings, honey bunches of oats cereal are all of my favorite things
