Thanks to For the Love of Alex Foundation, my cat Debbie was able to receive the glenoid surgery she needed. Her injury was due to a dislocated shoulder injury. Before the foundation stepped in, Debbie was in pain, and although there was a medical solution available, the cost made it very difficult for us to move forward. We were unsure how we would manage the situation. That changed when Carla from For the Love of Alex Foundation offered their help. Carla was kind, responsive, and genuinely supportive throughout the process, helping make an overwhelming situation feel manageable. Because of the foundation — and the generosity of the donors who support it — Debbie was able to have her surgery. She is now recovering well and has a real chance at a healthier, pain-free life. Our family will never forget the kindness and generosity of For the Love of Alex. When our beloved dog Yaeger developed a large, painful mass on his shoulder, we were devastated. The mass had broken through his skin, made it hard for him to move, and left him in constant pain. Surgery was his only chance, but we couldn’t afford it. We were faced with the heartbreaking possibility of having to say goodbye far too soon. Thanks to For the Love of Alex and their incredible supporters, Yaeger got the surgery he so desperately needed. The veterinary team removed the mass, and with the aftercare guidance from both the vet and the For the Love of Alex blog, Yaeger made a full recovery. Today, our sweet senior boy is living life with all the energy of a puppy again—running, jumping, "counter surfing," begging for car rides, enjoying long walks, and playing with us just like before. He ISA pain-free, happy, and thriving. From the bottom of our hearts - thank you. 💙🐾

It was last month my two year-old female cat cream pie started urinating blood. I took her to the ER here in Pittsburgh and I found out that she had stones in her. She had four of them I live alone. My money is budgeted and she needed the surgery and I couldn’t afford it, and it was for the love of Alex, who stepped in and helped me and was with me every step of the way I’m very greatly appreciated of them.

I had no idea that vet bills cost as much if not more then people when things go terribly wrong with your pet. I was already approved for carecredit, but my limit was reached, and the vets weren't done yet. Thanks to For the Love of Alex, I was able take home our shelter kitty. We still have to keep an eye on him. Unfortunately our kitty was put together special. Hopefully we don't ever have to go back besides routine maintenance. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and even checks up on your pet after they are home. His hair is growing back and my ten year old daughter is ecstatic that we didn't have to put him down. Thanks for all your help FTLOA. Our kitten would be crossing that rainbow bridge without you.

When our beloved cat, Miso, broke his leg, we were devastated to learn that it wasn’t healing and that amputation was the best option. Their assistance helped cover the cost of Miso’s surgery, lifting a huge weight off our shoulders and allowing us to focus on healing instead of worrying about finances. Miso is such a special part of our family — a cuddly, sweet, and serious little soul — and thanks to For the Love of Alex, Inc., he now has the chance to live a happy, full life as a three-legged cat. We are beyond thankful for this incredible nonprofit. They don’t just provide financial help — they give hope, compassion, and peace of mind to families who are struggling. Miso means the world to us, and because of their generosity, we get to keep giving him all the love he deserves. I will forever be grateful for their help and recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone in need.

A feral cat had kittens in our garage and we took in the runt of the litter. Cloud had a twisted leg and he had fading kitten syndrome so we had to feed him and give him antibiotics for an eye infection so that he could live. Unfortunately his eye nor his leg could be saved. The vet told us that he needed enucleation to close his empty eye lid and leg amputation to remove the twisted leg, which caused him pain. Unable to pay for the much needed surgeries, For The Love of Alex stepped in to assist. After surgery Cloud is doing amazing and we are so thankful for this organization. It has been a God send!
