I have been studying at ELS Language Centers - Chicago since January and have seen significant improvement in my English skills. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and knowledgeable, always going above and beyond to ensure we understand the material. The staff is equally fantastic, always friendly and ready to help with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to learn or improve their English. I stayed at ELs Chicago for a month, where I was blessed with very kind and, above all, competent teaching staff in English. I am immensely grateful to everyone for the wonderful experience I had in September in Chicago.

I can't even put into words how many experiences I had and how much I learned. I am so grateful to my teachers. I know that they were helping us not only academically but also mentally and in life for some students. And of course we went there to learn English , otherwise more than that we learned about the culture and how to interact with native people. My experience with ELS was honestly really bad. First of all, the location is far from the city and sometimes doesn’t feel safe at all. If they give you housing, they charge way too much and it doesn’t feel fair at all. The environment in the campus is just super depressing. It felt like nothing was going on, the place felt dead, and going to school every day was tiring and made things worse. Most of the students were teenagers, mostly Japanese, and it felt like they all came from one program or group. There was no real diversity or serious atmosphere for learning. The teachers were mostly old and it was hard to understand them or learn anything useful. The way they teach is just outdated, and it honestly didn’t help at all. The worst part was the administration. They were rude, unhelpful, and made everything harder. I tried talking to them many times and even asked for help, but they either ignored me or gave me confusing answers. I also contacted the main ELS office so many times by email and phone, but no one ever got back to me. I was just left on my own. This whole thing was a super frustrating and disappointing experience. I really don’t recommend this place to anyone who’s serious about learning English.
