Dragon Kim's Taekwondo

Master Kim is one of the most skilled and patient Taekwondo instructors we have ever met! He has a deep understanding of his craft and is an excellent teacher. Our son looks forward to his classes and has learned patience, confidence and the skill of taekwondo. We cannot recommend these classes enough!

Grand Master Dragon Jin Young Kim is the best there is in the business. I have been a student of Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do for over 50 years and he is the absolute eminence both in teaching and technical material. He is one of the few 9th dans in Texas and currently serves as world wide President of Moo Duk Kwan. He has been decorated by many government, education and athletic officials all over the world. I can't express how much he has helped me over the years and that is why I train there at least 3 days a week !!!

We moved to the area and were looking for a taekwondo studio. We joined Dragon Kim’s and I wish we had joined the day we moved to town. Master Kim is very hands on and knows all students and parents. He’s involved in the training, bringing an old school structured approach the kids really relate to. It’s a family atmosphere and Master Kim makes everyone feel welcome.

Update*** I was blessed to get to Visit Master Kim last month in November before the Holidays while in Dallas on a work trip. I Stopped in and got to talk with him before classes started and he took me on a Tour of the NEW Dojang. It is AMAZING!!! I don't know how you do it Master Kim but you look stronger then even and I am so proud to call you my friend, Tae Kwon Do Father, and Master. You have been a blessing and a mentor my whole life and I cant wait to come down in Jan. 2025 to see the new Dojang in Action. Previous*** Master Kim has been a big part of my life for over 30 years. I met him in 1990. I attend his school in Okc off Britton Rd. And again later in life with my son in Edmond. He is an excellent teacher and master. I would want to be trained by anyone else. We miss you in Oklahoma. But are so proud and happy for your success in Dallas. Thank you for everything.

Just took a seminar Grand Master Kim and he is legit. He gave me more tips on my different kicks that made me better. Great Master and cant to come visit his school. This Taekwondo has a great lineage!

Came from a previous school. Left 1st school due to poor training techniques. My son was moving way to fast and learning nothing. Here Master Kim takes his time and assures that every student is learning and understands each move. Lots of discipline. My son is very happy here and I feel he is learning at the right speed and has learned so much more. I would highly recommend this school.

Grand Master Kim is an excellent instructor and is very good with our young daughter. I have trained in taekwondo many years ago and I wanted my daughter to experience the same training I once had. There are many schools that train you but most are non-traditional training centers (I searched the Lantana, Flower Mound, and Highland Village schools but found none). Once I walked into Dragon Kim's I knew it was the traditional school I was looking for. Without previous training in the arts, the importance of a traditional school might not be fully appreciated, but believe me, there's a reason why taekwondo is an ancient art. One day my daughter will hopefully be a black belt and perhaps I can also re-train myself back to a high belt. Highly recommended!!
