Dolce Vita Wellness Spa

As a self-proclaimed spa girly who makes it her mission to find the best spa in any city, whether I’m traveling domestically or internationally, I had high hopes for this facility. Visually, it is absolutely stunning. Truly one of the most gorgeous spa environments I’ve ever stepped into. Unfortunately, the beauty of the space was overshadowed by several disappointing experiences. To start, the staff in the back area lacked warmth. The energy felt unwelcoming. That alone already dampened the experience. My massage only made things worse. My masseuse smelled strongly of cigarettes, which was immediately off-putting in a wellness setting. Beyond that, the massage itself was subpar. Despite communicating my needs clearly, she didn’t tailor the treatment at all. I left feeling exactly the same as when I walked in, which is not what you hope for after a professional massage. On top of that, I noticed that their tipping system felt misleading. What they present as a standard 20% tip actually sits closer to 30–40% once you calculate it. It really feels like they rely on guests either not doing the math or rushing through checkout without noticing. Lastly, the amenities had a noticeable mildew smell unless you sprayed the eucalyptus mist, which made it seem like the mist was being used to mask an underlying issue rather than enhance the experience. Overall, this spa has the potential to be exceptional given how beautiful the facility is, but the environment and attention to detail fell below my expectations. I truly hope they address these issues, because right now, the flaws outweigh the good for me.

This is my new go to for a spa day pass. It is extremely relaxing and the staff are all absolutely wonderful. I love the hibiscus margarita and the chai smoothie. Already trying to decide when I can go again.

Great spa. The entire staff very pleasant and kind. They only have one small hot tub. This would be a 10 star place if they had 2 more hot tubs and a plunge pool. Still all in all a great place to spend an afternoon being pampered.

Have been to both the wellness spa and med spa here for massages, facials, and microneedling. The receptionists are super friendly and make you feel welcome. The spa is spotless and has such a peaceful vibe. I love the view of Rancharrah from the patio. This is such a nice place to come with a friend or your spouse for a high end spa treatment.

I’d like to give 4-1/2 stars but it is a top notch day spa with infrared sauna, choice of aromatherapy for massage and a few relaxing areas to de-stress either co-ed with my hubby or with just the girls. Second time around I used arnica, frankincense and rose which is a wonderful combo. The mineral bath we weren’t informed what was in it, so perhaps I’m allergic to something. Afterward even after taking a shower my back and my husband’s back was prickly and itchy. The couples massage was amazing but next time we will do them individually so my masseuse nor I can disturb my hubby’s peace and experience! They really do try to cater to each customer and their experience and I appreciate all the nuances. If you live far from the spa I’d recommend getting to the area super early so that snow doesn’t impact your appt to be charged without having control to get there. Road closures during those times are unavoidable but if prepared by getting into Reno proper super early during winter and spring months, it should work out ok.

My experience at Dolce Vita was phenomenal! The amenities are tasteful and restful. I particularly liked the sauna and the pod chairs on the patio. My Head to Toe package really delivered an all inclusive experience. Andrew was attentive and thorough in my massage. The ginseng scalp oil was divine, and I loved the sugar foot scrub. The entire experience was refreshing and I will be back!

I love this wellness spa! Serene environment, nice amenities, and everyone is so kind and helpful. I highly recommend booking a massage with Haley or a facial with Irina or Caleigh.
