I had a good experience at Dentist of Highland Park. The environment was very friendly and welcoming. The doctor as well as other staff explained every step of the process clearly, which made me feel comfortable and confident. I’m very happy with the treatment I received and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great dental care

Office staff answer phones, schedule appointments (even urgent, but not emergency, ones) immediately, and treat you as an individual. All medical personnel we've experienced listen well, explain clearly, show concern and are empathic and gentle practitioners. This is the best dental establishment we've EVER found in our 80 years of life.

I’m not sure what is going on with this dental practice. Something is terribly broken with their online scheduling tool and office operation. I’ve been sitting in a dental chair for half an hour waiting for an answer as to why, without notice, my appointment today is now "exam only"? For the second time in 6 months, my appointment has been changed from the regular checkup and cleaning to "exam only" which isn’t even an option online to self-book. I just want my teeth x-rayed, examined, and cleaned, please. You know, like a normal dentist does when you schedule an appointment. Over a year and a half, I had to reschedule due to conflict day-of. The next appointment wasn’t available until 6 months later. I was never informed (call, email blast, text, nothing) at the time that they had a shortage of dentists and I should look elsewhere for timely regular cleaning. Instead, when I finally got in for my appointment, I was told I have horribly progressed periodontal disease (somehow? only a year from my last cleaning?) and they insisted I go on an incredibly expensive ($2-3k every 3 months) and shockingly uncovered by insurance "emergency cleaning plan". After pressing, several of the most expensive features of that plan were exposed as "optional". Feels like that should’ve been mentioned from the start. My prior experiences with this dentist were flawless for several years but this is ridiculous. I will be finding another dentist.

I went to Dentists of Highland Park for the first time over a year ago and the experience itself was okay. I waited over 45 minutes to be seen and my hygienist tried to get me to do extra services not covered by my insurance, but overall my experience was fine. The biggest issue I have with this practice (and why I won't be coming back) is that I have had my routine dental appointment canceled not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES the day of my appointment after waiting weeks. I'm not sure what is going on with Kathryn Thorson that she needs to cancel so often, but it's absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.

I was at the dentist to have a broken tooth checked out and was told that ii needed a crown and that they could have it done today. They fixed the broken tooth and they had me wait while they made the crown. I waited in a comfortable chair and when the crown was done it was put on my tooth. It was done by the dentist very well. The only thing I had a problem with was the amount of water during the procedure and I had to swallow a lot. The dentist was very thorough and friendly as was the staff friendly I spent four hours in the office and it was doable .

I kept going to the dentistry because of how amazing it is! The employees are always so welcoming! Everytime I get done with my cleaning, I feel so fresh and clean! They always do such a great job. I highly recommend!
