Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals Laboratory - 1000 East Paris Ave SE

Had to get lab work done here and I had awesome experience because of my tech Angelina. Currently having issues with panic attacks and doing this lab work was a big trigger for me. Angelina not only did a great job creating a calm and stress free environment, she drew my blood and ran my labs faster than I could have even comprehended! She was incredibly personable and sweet, something I appreciated very much during this tough time for me!

Sarah is an angel! I’m the worst patient for blood draws - I have to lay down and I have vomited/fainted on numerous occasions. Sarah made this quick and easy where I barely felt a thing. I felt totally fine afterwards! This will be my go-to lab from now on!!

Worst experience ever. Katherine F was the lab assistant she was unfriendly and would not converse with me. I ask her how her day was going and she just gave me a bad look. She jabbed me in the arm for blood withdrawal and for the first time ever it Hurt! She removed the rubberband from my arm and then said Whoops I have to do this again I forgot ONE!!! The second time the jab hurt, and this time I have a bruise. I have not experienced a bruise in the vein area before this encounter. I believe she needs retraining.

We were there 20 minutes before 11 last Saturday to find the door locked and they are telling us that they don't accept anyone more. (there was older lady before us that they turned back as well) IMHO, this behavior should not be tolerated of any business, especially one involved in health care.

Very clean and well run during this crazy time. We were in-and-out quickly. The only suggestions I would have is making sure the staff tell people when to expect the results, because we had to ask. The other thing is so better signage outdoors would be helpful because it's a large building and we didn't know which entrance to go to.

This place was friendly and fast. The techs were social but not chatty in an obnoxious way. On a Saturday morning I thought it would be busy with everyone that could not go during the week. They got people in and out quickly. Will definitely go back when I need lab work.

My PCP is with Spectrum in Ludington. She recently ordered some labs for me and since I now live in Grand Rapids, I thought I'd call ahead and confirm that I could do them here without any issues since she put them in the Spectrum system. Whoever I spoke to said that they didn't see anything, didn't bother to confirm that they were spelling everything correctly, just pretty much told me I was S.O.L. I called the lab in Ludington to confirm they were in the system and they thought it strange that the lab I spoke to before didn't bother to ask for my physician's name. I ended up going here on the chance that I just got a an employee on a bad day and was pleasantly surprised by their staff. They found my labs no problem and everyone I talked to was very friendly. The blood draw was quick and relatively painless. Stuff happens, people have bad days.
