I spent over $300 at Chez Madeleine today and walked out crying after I was both yelled at and disrespected, with my poor 9yo daughter witnessing this ordeal. I had a hair appointment with my talented and amazing stylist Kanoa, and my daughter had a haircut. While waiting for the color on my hair to process, my daughter and I stopped to look at and play with a Pacman machine near one of the pedicure chairs. All of a sudden, the woman who does nails runs up to us, gets in my face, gets extremely rude, and yells that we are not allowed to walk into the nail area or touch anything since we are not the nail clients. She kept running around and yelling at me as everybody else was looking on. The owner was there but did nothing. I was so appalled. I started crying and could not wait to get out of there. This is a business that, by definition, makes money on providing service to the public and inviting the public inside their building. The nail area is not separated from the hair area with any signs. It is the same salon. From my perspective as a customer, a Pacman machine is there for entertaining the customers. If they want a physical separation between their nail and hair services, they should place the crazy nail person in a separate room or something like that and make signs for the hair clients not to go into her area. Frankly, hair clients need protection from somebody crazy like her. Further, if the crazy nail person wants to display her personal items such as the Pacman machine in the public salon but not have people touch them, she should put up some signs. Or, more appropriately, display her treasured possessions in the privacy of her home. Overall, terrible experience. The previous owner would have been furious.

Got a great haircut for my short hair today with Adelaide! She was so sweet and patient and spent a lot of time with me. She did an excellent job. I would definitely go back! Thank you!!

I started going here in 2007. Several years ago I moved further out and I have tried so many salons trying to find a fit. Finally, I just realized that nothing will ever compare to the service and the amazing people at Chez Madeleine. So I now drive almost a hour to get my hair or nails done. If you want a place with great employee longevity and extremely knowledgeable stylists, then let me recommend Chez Madeleine. And if you can’t get in right away, that’s because they are that good! It shows how sought-out these stylists are.

Could not be any happier with the service at this place! And the staff is amazing! I love changing my hair drastically: from long to short, dark to blond; and I do it pretty often. But sometimes a professional knows better what's going to look best. And I'm lucky to find the salon where I always get a worthy advice. I've tried several place before I discovered Chez Madeleine, and it's the first salon where I'm always satisfied with both the result and the price. I would definitely recommend this place!

I first knew about Chez Madeleine from a friend. She recommended John for a hair cut. That was the best recommendation I have had for the past 20 years. John can stand tall next to the true professionals and artists anywhere in the world. I was really grateful to finally have my hair cut by John this week. It was a great boost to my morale.
