BSW Beauty Supply

I have tried many times to shop at this beauty supply store because of their size and supply but always left without buying anything despite a wide variety of selection. I understand the heightened level of theft at many businesses and also empathize with business owners trying to protect their investments. However, as a customer, I am appalled by the level of profiling, aggression and disrespect I received yesterday by possibly the store owner because I was trying to show my daughter the color of hair she wanted to purchase to confirm that it was the right color. This person glared at us while aggressively asking if I needed help. I asked a question about another hair product but this person’s eyes were suspiciously fixated on my daughters instead of answering my questions. I assured her that we were not stealing and that we were there to purchase items. She sharply responded that I am not supposed to open the package. I confirmed that I did, but I was buying it and only opened the end of the package to see the ends of the hair to match the color. I did not pull the hair out of its package so that it could not be replaced. It is unclear to me why that action would result in her level of reaction and response. She continued to speak loudly and sternly. I asked her why would she treat customer with such disrespect and stated respect is given and received. She then doubled down on the disrespect to state that I was judging HER by stating that I was not stealing. At that point, I asked my daughters to leave all of the items we wanted to purchase and we left the store. While walking out, I told the staff that we will not purchase items or spend our money where we are disrespected. I cannot and will not shop where people profit off of others and treat those people with disrespect and undue scrutiny without cause. There are other beauty supply places with plenty of selection at affordable prices AND good customer service and respect. We should never have to choose one or the other. Please consider where and with whom you spend your hard earned money. No one deserves to be treated poorly or disrespectfully or like a criminal without cause. No product or service is worth that.

They have a good selection of products. But my issue with this beauty supply store is they think everyone is stealing they want you to check your small purse, or baby bag as if they not already following you around the store I literally go here as my last resort some of the young ladies there are very helpful. But once I’m racially profiled I take my money elsewhere. Great store horrible service the guys that work there always have an attitude when you ask for something or they won’t answer you.

They have an amazing selection, and the woman was very nice. With that being said, I had no idea how much or what I needed for braids for my daughter. She had me buy enough for at least 3 sets of braids. Once I realized they didnt need that much hair, I felt duped.

Prices are outrageous just for the extensions to get frizzy after 2 days they are supposed to be 12A virgin hair but the hair doesn’t take color nor hold a curl has to be synthetic so I paid $350 for a 2 day hairstyle and synthetic bundles I’ll never be back Oh my days I’m livid.Then when I went I’m white was able to keep my purse and shop but my daughter who is a brown Queen went in later that day and had to have her purse held oh my daysss my child was discriminated do better with your business because the brown queens support yall the most and you will pay for how you treat people.

I had bought some hair dye along with the bleach to strip my hair I followed all the steps my hair is now blonde because the dye did not take I tried the process three times and the color washed out as if it was the Kool-Aid which would probably have work better I would not recommend this store they are not accommodating nor pleasant

Here they will assist and protect and it's respected. Quality of products is worth the price! Everytime I visit the customer service is A+, there's a special key to the experience here and it's this woman.. I feel bad I didn't her her name but I hope she's compensated very well because she really highlights the key elements of customer service. Thank you

Please read Maya’s review !! Everytime I had walked into that store I’m always getting profiled and stopped and they’re telling me to bring my personal PURSE to hold behind the counter as I shop. Ive never in my life had to shop around for my items while a store associate held my personal handbag because im a paying customer at the end on the day. I shouldn’t feel unwelcomed in a space where Im spending my own money. After a few times of being targeted, I found a new beauty supply store that’s across the street called Top Quality, they’re way more professional and accepting to all ( and more wallet friendly might I add).
