This was the single worst dentist experience I’ve ever had. My appointment was at 8:00 AM. I arrived five minutes early and finished my intake forms by 8:01, yet I waited over 30 minutes before being called back. During that time, they called a patient with an 8:30 appointment ahead of me. It seemed like my paperwork had been forgotten, as someone rushed it to the back only after the other patient was called. Once I was taken back, I had several X-rays done and didn’t get into the chair until just before 9:00. Then the office manager informed me that the staff member who had started with me had to move on to another patient, so someone else took over. Eventually, the hygienist came in — she was very kind — but when the dentist arrived, I was told this visit was apparently only a consultation and that I wasn’t even scheduled for a cleaning. This was never communicated to me beforehand. I don’t understand how a "consultation" could take over an hour with X-rays and multiple staff changes. The hygienist kindly offered to clean my teeth anyway, but by that point it had already been over an hour and fifteen minutes since my appointment time, and I no longer felt comfortable continuing care there. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, poorly communicated, and disrespectful of my time.
I went in extremely anxious because and unsure, but everyone there was so kind and understanding. they were great with explaining anything i needed to know and were very supportive. made me feel super welcomed and much more calm than i came in.
Moe did a fantastic job explaining the process and making everything super easy. My girlfriend is 19 and recently broke a tooth and was having extreme tooth pain. Called around trying to get her into a dentist asap but nowhere could help us out. Moe was able to get her an appointment same day just hours later. Furthermore, he was knowledgeable in all dental aspects, easily answering every question we had. He helped us with the insurance, and payment plans. Shout out Moe. I signed up for my first appointment with them right after hers. 5 stars.
I have had a hard time in the past at dentists. I have developed an awful fear of them but the people as Aspen were amazing. I felt well cared for and treated with compassion and dignity. The ladies that helped with my x-rays made sure that I was comfortable and felt safe. The doctor made me feel secure, assuring me that I was in better condition than I thought I would be and my treatment is pretty easy. Finally the office manager was knowledgeable and friendly. Please extend my gratitude to all of the staff at Aspen.
The Aspen team of assistance @ Aspen Dental in Kalamazoo, MI was awesome! It took some time to get in, but once they registered me in, all procedures as a new patient began immediately. Everyone was on board and ready to make my experience safe and easy. All were very aware and sanitization was done with great importance! Meeting Dr. Brown was super important to me, as I have been needing to find a new dentist that was able to take care of my top dentures and natural bottom teeth! She gave me her honest opinion of what needs to be improved or not. Her expertise was great and I have trusted Aspen Dental to be my new DentalTeam!! Tha The
I was amazed by the professionalism efficiency and affordability I found at Aspen Dental. I went in with a tooth ache a month ago and I on my way to a brand new smile. Thank you Moe and Brittany for getting me in quickly. Thank you Izzy for your incredible knowledge and bed side manner And big thank you to all the staff for being kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. A tooth ache can be a scary thing. Today I am walking away with my tooth ache fixed quickly and as well as on the road to a new smile. They worked with my insurance and I am getting the gaps in my teeth fixed. I am feeling like a teen aged again!
Definitely not impressed with them at all. First, it took weeks for them to figure out if they accepted my insurance even though they are on my insurance's list of providers. It took multiple calls from me to remind them to look into it, and I never once received any of the call backs they said they'd give when they found out. So when that finally got sorted out, I made an appointment, prior to which had my previous provider send over my records which went straight into the receptionists spam folder which never got checked. This led to me sitting in the waiting room for almost an hour because apparently they just went ahead and took the next patient while, and it made no difference anyway because not once, but twice I still had to answer all the questions they cold have easily had the answers to if they had actually looked at the previous files. So I go through the exam, set up an appointment for a cleaning, then the morning of the cleaning they call me to reschedule. Apparently the hygienist had a medical emergency. I probably would have been more understanding, except for starters, it wasn't even the hygienist who gave me the exam and they had no back-up plan, and it would be like another month before they could get me back in. So I told them I'd just go somewhere else. Not much later, the office manager calls me and says they can reschedule me for later that week. Okay, fine. Day of appointment comes, they call me about an hour before I was going to leave to reschedule. So once again I cancel, and ask for a refund of the down payment they required for my first previously cancelled appointment. I then requested my records, which I finally did get but are incomplete so I have to call them yet again. My wife had also scheduled and exam with them, but due to all this BS she decided to also look elsewhere. The only positive I can say is that the staff was nice. They just need to get their administrative BS together. UPDATE: Was able to get missing X-ray but they "couldn't" forward records sent from prior dentist because it was in a secured message. Except I already know they downloaded and unzipped it because I looked at some of them with the hygienist. Not willing to bother with it because at this point, I just want to be done with them.
