Afghan Market

I recently needed some kitchenware for my business and decided to stop by Afghan Market. Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for, but I was also really impressed with how clean and well-organized the store was. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the recent tariff changes. Honestly, this place has it all from groceries and kitchen supplies to Islamic books and a wide range of daily essentials. I highly recommend Afghan Market to anyone looking for quality products and a pleasant shopping experience. The store’s cleanliness and the professionalism of the staff truly set it apart.

Afghan Market is one of my favorite places to shop. Their halal meat is always super fresh and they have a great variety of groceries too. I love how they carry all kinds of kitchenware, it makes it so easy to find everything I need in one place. The store has a really welcoming vibe and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend stopping by if you haven’t yet.

The store is really pretty and nicely organized on the inside but I would never EVER come back here ! The short lady with the crunchy blonde hair is really rude and doesn’t speak. The customer service is really bad and if you’re someone who isn’t middle eastern I don’t think you should shop here. The cashier was the only one to speak but either way the whole experience was uncomfortable and uninviting. I came here to support a local business but I would rather spend my money somewhere else. I’m not sure if it was the culture differences but I didn’t have a great experience. Im not sure if it was the language barrier or the fact I am a black woman but I wanted to try items from a different culture however they didn’t speak to me when I tried to get help . Some items aren’t priced so be careful

Best market around great prices fresh homemade food and delicious sweet treats I’ll never forget picking up a load of goods today we had the best time in the beautiful Virginia hot sun !

Very bad customer service. The older woman at the counter was extremely rude. The price on the item clearly said $6.99, but she insisted it was $8.99 and acted like I couldn’t read the label. Instead of helping, she made the situation worse with her attitude. This was a very unpleasant experience, and I will never shop here again. They need to treat customers with respect and honor the prices shown.

Disappointing Experience at Afghan Market We recently had the misfortune of dining at Afghan Market, where I ordered a full lamb that was grossly undercooked. Unfortunately, this experience was a stark reminder that the store falls short in terms of food quality. The lamb, which cost a staggering $620, was inedible. What's more alarming is the lack of professionalism displayed by the staff, who failed to apologize for their mistake. Given the plethora of exceptional dining options available, it's disheartening to settle for subpar food and service. Unless Afghan Market overhauls its menu and prioritizes food quality, we would caution others against ordering food here. Please refer to the photos and videos under this review.

Amazing store with great Afghan, Middle Eastern and South Asian specialities. Beautiful pastry and bakery section as well as the most impressive self-service nuts cabinet in the DMV!
