Aesop Harvard Square

Walked into this location for the first time looking for a gift set for a loved one. I had a lovely shopping experience with the staff being so knowledgeable about the products. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed when it comes to the packaging, ingredients and functionality. Their product range of skin, hair and body care is gender neutral and high quality. The employee even added a bunch of samples to try, which was very thoughtful

Simple small store but great service. Love the hand wash tester station. No plastic storage, everything is either glass or other non-plastic material.

I went into this store with the intent of purchasing something. I enjoyed my shopping experience. We were offered tea and I was able to browse and test out the products without feeling rushed. The sales associate Oliver was great. He was very patient and fit the overall vibe the store. The products are pricey but well worth the money for their unique and luxury smells. I would 1000% be back next time I’m in Boston to purchase more!

Had a very nice experience at my first time at this store. The rep greeted me when I came in and kindly guided me through trying different scents to find what I liked and was looking for in a new scent. Appreciated that I didn't feel rushed or pressured. I was the only person in the store so that probably helped too. Would return and would buy more products from this brand.

The Aesop in Harvard Square was my first disappointing experience with the brand. The two ladies working the evening of November 11, 2022 were not welcoming and I was not offered not given any samples. Also, they both told me they had plenty of a specific item in stock only to be told later they erred. The employee who greeted me was the nicer one, but she handed me off to her colleague who wasn't as pleasant. The second employee kept suggesting fragrances for me to buy, which I wasn't in the market for. I should add here that I have most of Aesop's product line already. I would have bought all their Citrus Melange Cleanser if they were in stock, but they have been out of stock for months. I still bought one of Aesop's pricey products, but the sales person made me feel like I had inconvenienced her. I am guessing she had a sales goal of fragrances to fulfill and she thought she could meet that goal with me. I spent under 10 minutes in the store and was the only customer there at the time. I came to this store with a very specific goal of buying a certain product, not to be sold things I don't want. Also, I don't know if this has relevance, but I am not of the same skin color as they are. That shouldn't matter, but sometimes it does. I get a much better and friendlier experience at the Newbury Street and Honolulu stores.

Finally went in after years of walking past for school and trying their testers outside. So glad I did! Bear (hope I go her/their name right!) absolutely spoiled me! I told her I was buying myself a little wedding gift and she gave me a complimentary bottle of a hand balm she knew I loved and customized my samples for wedding day skin care! The ambiance is peaceful and understated, yet luxurious. Can't wait to come back and try more products.

I would give 0 star to this store. The people work there are mean, know nothing about their product and offer rude service. I asked a few questions on July 24th 2023 1:30pm. The young lady cut me off many times and used her condescending attitude to tell me the difference between their products and correct me for reading the product name wrong (how can a normal person care to figure out which one is called reverence, and which one is called resurrection, such a joke). My three year daughter was interested in the incense dish by the hand washing station, and wanted to touch it by her hand. Once she put one little finger on that dish that lady immediately took that dish away without any apology or explanation, and quickly put it in the back. For god sake, I just want to buy a gift for my friend there but because of her attitude I have to change my mind. Btw I have been to this store twice, and unfortunately I suffered their "service" both times.
