Musashi Japanese Restaurant

In a strip mall in Pineville is practically hidden a small Japanese restaurant. Really just a handful of tables, a few booths, a tatami room and a sushi bar. Our meals came out at different times. The bento boxes had an abundance of food. The nabeyaki udon was very hot, but strangely the egg never cooked. It had so many vegetables, which I liked except it took so long to get to the noodles! I suppose I could have mixed it up to get to the noodles, but I didn’t. This restaurant has quite a big following and a diverse fan base. It was a Monday night and it was full the whole time we were there! The servers were busy and efficient. My overall impression is that Musashi is a solid choice for Japanese comfort food.

The taste of the food was good. I had better sushi before. The restaurant was so crowdedso we wait for one hour. Also, I ordered chicken katsu bento and I was expecting fried chicken but they brought the grilled one that made me disappointed.

This was my 1st visit to Musashi Japanese Restaurant & although the lunch menu was very limited I had the Bento Box Specisl that day which was delicious & a nice variety of tasty food. I especially liked the Unagi sushi 🍣 😋 The only thing I didn't like is that one dish was Surimi instead of real crab... otherwise I would definitely recommend Musashi Japanese Restaurant.

Worth the wait. I got the Kaisen Don Chirashi and my friend got the udon. Both were phenomenal. I’ve never gotten more Uni for the price. Bathroom also has heated seat and bidet. Amazing.

This is the best and most authentic sushi place I have been to in the US. Quality is comparable to some of the best sushi I’ve had in Japan. I would come back here anytime.

You know a place is good when you arrive and you see a line staging outside. When they brought me the miso soup I knew this place would be top tier. So packed full of flavor and the perfect appetizer to prepare you for the wonderful food. Between the pork cutlet that is packed full of wonder and the ramen that's broth will send you into another dimension. This place makes me feel like I'm in Japan, it's incredible. Not to even mention the sushi which was the highest quality nigiri I'd ever tasted. Absolute 10/10 this place deserves all the praise.

I love this place the food is soooo good! I’ve been there twice and everything we’ve got was delicious. We tried the miso and tonkatsu ramen, tonkatsu bento is a must!! The sushi is also good and fresh. I recommend arrive early since there’s always line. The service is pretty good too.
