Came here for a date night and, let me just say, wonderful experience. The food was delicious and reasonably priced (hard to find both, especially with sushi). The staff was attentive and so polite, Im really indecisive and they answered all our questions, double checked stuff, and were so so nice! The place itself is quaint and perfect for a late-night, now, we were there around 10pm on a wednesday so it was pretty empty, but again, it was perfect! I would recommend giving it a try! The picture is their Oyaka Don and an Asahi (beer), but we also got 4 sushi rolls, including the spicy octopus, which if you've never tried octopus, like me, you should definitely try it!!
Fun karaoke spot - the food is inexpensive and reflected in the taste / quality. Service is fantastic with incredibly friendly and nice staff there. The karaoke system requires downloading a third party app (which is limited) and the atmosphere could use a few updates but it works well enough.
Nice karaoke place! Microphone with great sound but takes some effort to install karaoke app on the phone to set up. Takoyaki, calamari were just okay but sushi and beef tongue were great! Efficient service too.
The food is mediocre at best. However that is not the reason why I’m writing this one-star review. After I paid the bill at the register, the restaurant manager instructed me to select one of the tip percentages on the receipt (starting from 18%). I wanted to tip a custom amount so I ignored the default options & wrote $5 on the tip. Total bill was $50 excluding the tip. The manager seems shocked and says that typically people tip more than 10% and suggests me to at least tip the 18%. I respectfully declined and said that’s exactly how much I want to tip. As I’m back waiting at my table for my girlfriend to finish using the bathroom, I saw the manager bringing the receipt I had just signed to the wait staff and discussing amongst themselves about it. Shortly after our server came and asked me if there’s anything wrong with the service, and I said there’s nothing wrong and that I only wanted to tip $5. She then suggests again that I tip at least 18% if nothing is wrong. I told her $5 is exactly how much I want to tip. She gets passive aggressive and said to me "oh so this is your style? Ok." Will highly recommend AGAINST this restaurant.
Love this place! Not expecting anything super blow your socks off, because it's a place to hang with friends and grab a bite while drinking. Also, Malik you're cheap 10% tip is outrageous nowadays, but I'm not justifying 18% defaults.
I recently visited this karaoke spot and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. While the initial impression might suggest it's not the cleanest place, the food truly shines and surprises with each dish. I found the prices to be reasonable for the quality and variety they offer. The service provided by the staff, particularly the attentive and helpful ladies, was excellent. Additionally, the operating hours are convenient for this city. Overall, despite any initial reservations, I had a great time and would recommend it for a fun night out.
I went with a teenage boy early around 7:30. We had gyoza and Sunagimo (chicken gizzards) Namban for appetizers. He had Om Katsu Curry. It’s Omelette Rice with Pork Katsu Curry on top. He thinks it’s the most amazing food on the planet. I ordered Ramen with Stir fried veggie & chicken. Their ramen is not that great by itself. When I used to come here regularly I wanted find a way to improve the taste of it because I’m a ramen addict :). I live far away now and don’t get to come here often. I know they have a lot of great traditional Japanese food. But what I missed most tonight was that odd dish I created. No it’s not on their menu. I order two dishes and ask them to combine it. To me it’s a taste of nostalgia. For the first timers, I would recommend Ribeye Steak Teriyaki, Hamburg Dinner Plate, Yakitori with Salt only, Grilled Squid, or Om Rice (ketchup fried rice in omelette). These are great tasting food at a very reasonable price. Cheers!
