The Finn

This evening, in a search for some good food, I happened upon Proper - a burger spot, inside of The Finn. Sam was at the counter and I had a lot of questions, he had a lot of patience and answered each one in great detail. Sam is also the cook, you could tell by the way he described each hamburger that he really loves the food that he’s putting out. When I wasn’t sure if I’d like one of the ingredients, he made a suggestion that I try a little sample to make sure I’d like it before he prepared my hamburger for me. I really appreciate that Sam went above and beyond for me. JP also helped me while I was there, JP was very kind and nice. The service was exceptional and the taste of the food at Proper was incredible! I was blown away by their burgers and fries. To say it was merely mouth watering would be an understatement. I saw a sign that said Proper was selected and recognized in the top 23 burgers in Houston; Proper must be number one, there is no other ranking that would be fair. This is probably the best hamburger I’ve ever had in my life. I’m already sad that I go home tomorrow and can’t have another right away. I will plan another visit to Houston just to go back to Proper, eat their delicious food and see Sam and JP again.

You have to check out the "HIFI AT THE Finn" spot which is located on the second floor. Vinyl records on play, great drinks menu, atmosphere is awesome, it’s a whole experience on its own. Also, the Finn Hall itself is a great stop for food!

Great music. Great food. Variety of drinks! I can’t wait to come back to try other foods but the spot we tried was soooo good. We got the birria ramen, Phili eggrolls and dumplings. Gawd. Best dumplings I’ve had in Houston bc a lot of places don’t make them crispy and these were perfection. The birria ramen was like no other and had its own flavor that was so yummy. I’d deff come back but gotta try the other spots. Overall 10/10. The beer was a tad pricey for my liking but it be like that at places like this. The bartender was nice too.

What a great food court, defiantly 10 out of 10! Not only their food is amazing, I also appreciate this food court provides great individual seating for people like me usually have lunch alone. This bright and clean space brings such a good vibe. No doubt so many people recommend this place. So far this is my top ranked food court in downtown Houston (if there’s no budget concern).

I give this place a less than perfect score because it is missing a good dessert restaurant! Also the coffee stall closed too early that I didn’t get a coffee option for dinner. If you are looking for a casual place with a variety of food options this is a good place to be. The food quantity is plenty. The drinks are flowing and each place is true to its original store. We tried a variety of options and each turned out tasty and perfect. Service is great. One of us was mistexted about order being ready and the attendant apologized and delivered next. Places like this in general miss enough seating, Finn hall incorporated 2 options. Self serve seating downstairs and full service upstairs. Happy eating!

Enjoyed our visit with friends to Finn Hall! Everyone got to eat (and drink) what they wanted! Hawaiian coconut shrimp sliders - BBQ sandwich or pizza n burgers! Plus amazing chocolate shake from Craft Burger. Vodoo juice or pineapple ipa craft beer was great too! Overall great place to hang with friends! Would recommend- will return!

Salads, pizza, smoothies, juice, BBQ, Tacos, burgers, American bar food, beer, coffee and everything else you’re looking for. Lots of seating options and has a bar with multiple TVs in the center to give you entertainment. Outdoor seating as well. Right in the heart of downtown and reasonably priced. Nearby food in Houston. Cheap, tasty, great local bites and bevs!
