Let’s see, where do I even begin? I was referred to Bethany medical pain clinic on Battleground from my previous pain management because my regular doctor retired and I requested to be in Greensboro instead of Winston. A couple months ago I had an extreme bout of pancreatitis, I had an appointment with Bethany and I called in the day before to let them what was happening and I said I would call back in a couple days to reschedule. That was a Tuesday that I called to cancel my Wednesday appointment. When I called back in on Friday the person said "You can’t schedule appointments anymore, you are on walk in only status." I go to Bethany medical and tell them I called in the day before the appointment, the lady, who was very rude and had an angry/confrontational demeanor said "You have to cancel 24 hours in advance, you canceled 22 hours in advance." First of all any rational person with an actual functioning brain would say calling the day before is 24 hours notice, it’s the same meaning. Secondly you all are supposed to actually CARE that a patient called in with pancreatitis. I even showed up with the paperwork verifying the pancreatitis and still "You only gave 22 hours notice." Truly unreal. Then today I call in to ask what time you all are open until and I’m informed over the phone "We’re not taking any walkins". I have chronic debilitating pain that is extremely well documented, now I’m out of my pain meds, in brutal pain and withdrawing from them because I’ve been on them for 4 years. I called in requesting to speak to whoever runs the clinic "oh she’s out until next week", then asked for my doctor "oh he’s unavailable" then a nurse "oh I’ll have to have her call you", still no word. I even had my pharmacy send in a refill request with a note explaining I am out, there are no walk ins allowed and yet they have me on walk in only status, and it came back "your prescriber denied your request". It should be criminal what you all are doing and have done. I’m sure this won’t get addressed even with this post because I can truly say I’ve never met a staff that could care less than you all do, and I have spent months and months at each major medical group in the state. The Hippocratic oath says "first do no harm" and I know you all have harmed me between the pain I am feeling physically and the mental distress.
Well, it had been a good experience up until today now I’m gonna add some pictures on here, but I really have a video of the conditions outside of where I stay at. They’re not there’s no way I can walk down the ice of the steps and this porch I don’t even go outside when there’s ice on the ground because I’m afraid I will fall because I’m already having issues with walking anyways now let me tell you what happened this evening at 4:25 this evening p.m. I received a reminder call that I have an appointment tomorrow. I had no idea I had an appointment so I called them up there and I’ll say look. There’s ice out where I’m living staying at and I cannot walk on it and they’re saying well it’s gonna be a $25 no-show if I reschedule yeah Go that is really dogging somebody they are taking advantage of people and I’m going to call a lawyer and find out how they can do this but I’m gonna also take these pictures so it will be on Google for all to see how these people do and they try to get you they yank you for that 25 or $50 no-show or call in fee and I am calling in at 4:30 and my appointments at 3:30 PM tomorrow. 1/30/26 In response, Allow me To be very clear with my complaint. First and foremost, If You are going to give a reminder call to someone it needs to be at least 48 hours before hand to remind them of the appointment, that’s fair for us both. but I got my reminder call at 4:25 p.m. on 1/29/26, so had you kept in accordance with your policy I then should have received my reminder call, on 1/28/2026 before 3:30pm Wednesday, Not yesterday. As we currently have ice and snow-ice surrounding and covering a large land mass. I have fallen on ice before. It was and is very traumatic for me. As I’m already stiff. My back and knees hurt and ache my movements are rigid because of the cold and I am constantly trembling inside. I know for me to not fall is to not risk going out because of the way I have to go down the stairs one foot then the other, pulling on the wooden side rail as I lower my left foot and peg leg my right foot as I cannot bend my right knee. Now with a much more detailed explanation here, I pray that this addition to my 1st complaint as I was terrified and I explained that I had just received my reminder call and told him the one who answered the phone. "that there was Ice outside and it’s so hard I cannot walk on it for I could seriously get hurt".he said "it’s been a week", it’s been 5 days since the overnight coverage came. Regardless there’s still ice out here and since the very thought of having to attempt to get out and try to walk on it with my physical condition terrified my mind as having fallen before on ice and hurt for 2 weeks in my tailbone. I don’t want that rodeo again or anything else. That’s why I called telling him I just received the call. In all fairness of the situation a rescheduling should have been allowed since I did not receive the call within the 48 hour notification period. Considering as soon as I got the call at 4:25 p.m on 1/29/2026 Thursday and not on Wednesday 1/28/2026. Since that would be the true total 48 hrs that is outlined in your policy, for a reminder call. That was 55 min from being a full complete 24 hour notice that you require to cancel or reschedule an appointment. In which having the reminder call coming to me at 4:25 p.m. the day before is not the 48 hr reminder call, it was 23 hrs and 5 min before my appointment time reminder. It’s good to have reviews so that there can be clarity for both sides. Thank you Google!
I been going here for pain management for well over a year now and have been seen by 2 different providers the 1st one was great but she has since retired. My new provider Tyler Terry has been fantastic. I have a complex medical history and tyler has been great and gone above and beyond with helping me my pain management and also my other issues I have. The staff there are also great have always got me in fast and the hours are great and being open 7 days a week really help out especially like someone like me who works odd hours. Thank you again!
My experience with Bethany Medical’s dermatology department on Battleground was extremely disappointing. I had waited three months for this appointment, only to have it cancelled without any prior notice. I arrived early, checked in, and waited nearly an hour before being told the doctor would not be available. To make matters worse, they attempted to reschedule and charge me again. The scheduling staff is equally unprofessional — long phone holds, repeated transfers, and calls that either end in disconnection or requests for payment to rebook an appointment I never received. I have never encountered a professional medical practice that charges patients for not being seen. I do not recommend their dermatology services to anyone.
Worst doctor office EVER. Any Bethany medical center is TERRIBLE they need to be put out of business, rude staffing, the nurses never answer the phone,, you can’t leave a voicemail. They allow new employees to "train" on you without proper handlings / dealings. Lady first day she drew blood from me and pulled the needle out to fast without the bandaid and cotton ball, blood shot out my arm everywhere. They keep diagnosing me with the same issue but not prescribing any medicine to prevent worsening.
Let me just start with they never answer the phone, and when someone do. They put you on hold.. I was dealing with this location almost 4 years. And I never got my medicine on time. And the nurses at like they don't want to be at work. And even when they make a mistake they pretend like it's the insurance or the pharmacy. And if you going for medicine and it's scheduled for one day. And you cannot get it until 4 days, later than expected to get the voicemail every time you call 😔.. this by far is the worst location in the Piedmont. 🤯😞
If I could give 0 stars I would honestly. My first visit here was in May about an ear problem which i was given drops and was told I’d get a follow up call from a specialist, never got it . I ended up going back cause the ear issue was still present ,called the specialist in front of them they were referring me to and they gave them a incorrect number so yea then at this appointment they were prescribing me something and it would at my pharmacy in a hour , it took 2 days and 10 phone calls no exaggeration with me sitting in front the pharmacist what they were supposed to send over, whole time what was sent over was over the counter nasal spray & even the pharmacist was just appalled by the whole thing it was so time consuming and embarrassing. I got a call a couple weeks later asking if i would like to make them my primary care and i agreed because one it’s right down the street and two i just moved back to Greensboro and i did need a new primary care. So they set me up with an appointment with Dr. Shannon . I saw her twice and she was pretty decent with what i was going for and thorough. Fast forward 3 months i took a fall 2 days ago still able to walk but just wanted to be seen to be sure everything was ok so i went online yesterday and tried to schedule an appointment with Dr Shannon her still pops up but no success so i call and they inform me that she no longer works there so i did have a concern there like yall never even told anyone that first off, so then im like okay let me look up the other doctors and I’ll call back to schedule and she’s like or you can do it online so I’m like okay cool so i see dr sharradah she had an appointment for Tuesday (today) but of course online or app wouldn’t let me schedule it because it’s horrible !!! So i called of course it’s a hold time like always so i press one for a call back , get a call back and i speak with a women was explaining what happen in short and that i needed to schedule an appointment, she said the one i was trying to get Tuesday is gone LOL so i had to go with Wednesday the same time that was her next appointment i said ok fine she said i will get that submitted for you , i specifically asked would i get a confirmation email or text (truthfully i don’t like calling up there no more than they literally don’t like to answer or talk on the phone even tho it’s their job ) she advised you’ll get a email or text when i submit it when we get off the phone , never got a text never got a email even went in my app and no appointment was there so i said let me just wait. So i call today to confirm my own appointment because they will charge you if you don’t come, and what do you know THERE WAS NO APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR ME !!!!!! super frustrating and irritating that this is even a doctors office !!! I ask the lady that i meed to speak with a manager not upset with her but my experience here has been nothing short of frustrating! She tells me the team leads are in a meeting and they will call me she asked me what was a good time i said i go to lunch at 3 , she confirmed my phone number and all was empathetic and all probably the nicest people ive dealt with hands down but what do you know IVE RECEIVED NO CALL OR CALL BACK FROM A MANAGER & im not even surprised, i didnt have anymore energy to call back but i did have it to type this review since by phone you can never can anyone , i do not know if their calls are monitored and recorded and if not shame on them but i will say i will keep all my documentation and as soon as i figure out who to report this location to I will be doing that since we can seem to get any resolve communication. Oh and i finally got a message about my doctor no longer being there after i told them that there was no communication about , thank God it’s time stamped . You see how i wrote all this without cussing ? Just my full experience & I will not return back to this place EVER !!!!! Unless this is your last option please don’t & if you just have to DOCUMENT EVERYTHING record every call .
