Terry Santiago, NP

Honest review. Terry Santiago was nice I guess, but she wasn’t very friendly/compassionate. I got seen an hour after my appointment was supposed to start & the encounter lasted maybe 5 minutes (not by my choice). She seemed rushed & didn't ask me if I had any questions/concerns & just left when she was done talking. I had to practically interrupt her to ask my questions. She did a very minimal skin exam & proceeded to give me a pamphlet on how to do a thorough skin exam, which is ironic. She didn’t ask anything about my life. It was all very rote. As someone who works with medical students on educating them how to interact with patients, I was left feeling disappointed & misunderstood. Will be seeing a different medical professional for my followup at West Dermatology & hopefully that goes better…

Excellent service! The wait wasn't long at all. Staff was friendly and my NP addressed each of my concerns. I love that she took the time to educate me and proposed the least invasive plan of care first. She was reassuring and seemed very knowledgable. Would highly recommend this office to anyone!

My experience at West Dermatology in Riverside was absolutely terrible, particularly due to the vile and ill-mannered nurse, Terry S. I came here hoping to get help with my acne problems but Terry was incredibly rude, condescending, dismissive, and unhelpful. She barely glanced at my skin before she proceeded to shove her one-size-fits-all skincare "regimen" down my throat. She began prescribing me a number of different medications, including an oral antibiotic that I already finished a course of several months ago. To be quite honest, it seemed like she was more interested in pushing medications (for payout from pharmaceutical companies, I suspect) than genuinely helping me. Whenever I asked a question, she immediately got defensive like any other quack would (highly doubt a legitimate and competent provider would respond that way). Furthermore, she consistently talked over me, making it nearly impossible for me to express my concerns - the exact opposite of what you would expect of quality healthcare providers, who listen to their patients and provide personalized care. It's clear to me Terry is only interested in the money and couldn't care less about her patients. It's laughable to think of her as a nurse, let alone a doctor.

This person does an excellent job on removing my two Lesions (growth) and it's not cancerous! Thank you Terry! Now I can finally wear my shorts without getting embarrassed after 15+ years! I definitely RECOMMEND it!!

New patient -1st visit I’m not feeling very positive. Waited an hour, Dr. came in and spent maybe 5 minutes with me. Handed me a brochure. Didn’t ask me any questions or history - prescribed two medications. Neither are approved by my insurance. Pharmacy is now trying to assist me. Office was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Maybe just a bad day for a new patient. They were very busy.

Everyone was so kind. When I first walked in the office was clean and well put together. The receptionist’s were very kind and answered my questions. The Evelauating nurse was kind and through and the doctor herself was very explanatory. Overall wonderful care!

While the entire experience was wonderful, what really has me in awe was the staff! Everybody was welcoming, and made me feel comfortable! Terry was thorough and gentle! To top it off I usually go to a chain pharmacy. Terry recommended Tap pharmacy, which was just next door. They were BEYOND wonderful! My insurance didnt cover a specific medicine. This has happened in the past and I just paid out of pocket. Not this time! The pharmacy called the dermatology office( terry, I presume) and together found an alternative prescription!! The two offices working together makes EVERYTHING so simple!!!!! I will be back!! And I'm telling everybody!!!!
