Big thanks to Dr. Francis and Ms. Betty and the rest of the team for the wonderful services as always. Joy Dental Pines is one of the things I am grateful for, thank you for taking care of our teeth(for my whole family). I after my old dentist moved further north, I was nervous about finding a new dentist. Thankfully, I found Joy Dental after my mom became a patient, and the experience has been amazing! The team made me feel right at home from the very first visit, and they take the time to explain everything so clearly. I truly appreciate their warmth, professionalism, and the stress-free care they provide. I’m so glad to have found them and highly recommend Joy Dental! Dr Ortega has skills !

The office is always clean .Dr. Benjamin Joy is well spoken and takes the time out to explain and answer any questions or concerns you may have . The hygienist makes the cleaning process as smooth as possible while educating you about your teeth. Highly recommend!

In all my life and all the dentists I've had. I can say with confidence this is the best. No pain, no waiting, they listen to me and accomodate my needs, very relaxing, and gentle!! Just trust me. I'm never going anywhere else. And Monica is 10/10 the best hygienist I've ever had. Amazing place and staff

I had an absolutely AMAZING experience! I called as soon as they opened inquiring on an emergency tooth extraction. They got me in immediately after. The process started about an hour after that phone call. It took a couple of hours for the full procedure, but it went so smooth that it didn’t seem like it took that long. The front desk, the dentist, even the billing staff were all so friendly! The prices were very affordable as well. I have found my new dental home. I will be continuing to get the rest of my work done here. I will also be screaming to the rooftops to anyone who will listen to give this place a shot. 5 stars are very, very, very well deserved! I look forward to coming back here when I’m healed to have a deep cleaning done! God bless them 🩷

I do not like to be targeted in a dental office or by anyone which is common. It’s emotionally laborious where I am expected to hold space for the dentist as a patient when you’re vulnerable. For the most part, the first thing I’ve never been questioned on when a dentist walks in is what do I do? Why? Why do I need to prove I do something. It’s a light way to measure people up. I don’t have time for foolishness. Instead of walking in and asking how are you doing? I was lucky I was able to have something to answer because there were times when I wasn’t doing enough or not doing much. When people target you it’s usually because they feel you have offended them. It gets old but then he asks about the bump on my head which I explain. I have to give a lot of explanations. He later then tells me my degree isn’t worth anything, so I let him know his isn’t either and he says he did not mean it - it was more than a slip because I’ve never seen a dentist slip like that. Lack of professional filter. Dental care should be emotionally low effort and predictable. I’m not there to be anyone’s egotistical punching bag or to help them manage their stress. I remember I was bullied, screamed at and hounded at the previous dental office by the front desk manager who also screamed at me as I walked out what do I do?!! She would also mock me on the phone when trying to set an appointment too. Then she started slowly targeting my entire family overtime one by one and others she deemed easy targets. She would order me to answer her queried questions upon entering and paying. So it brings back those memories as well. When I walked into a dental office in metro Atlanta, it was just please sign in and have a seat, and it’s nice to see you today from the dentist. It was emotionally safe no matter what your status. Boom. No personal questions because everyone has something going on personally. It’s a given. You don’t need to know what’s going on with me personally. I could be on section 8 food stamps. Why do I have to explain or why does anyone need to know. It’s no one’s business. It should be up to me to volunteer not put on the spot to explain anything. I’m not here to explain myself in anyone’s dental office because I don’t owe my time. I’m paying for service that needs to remain respectful. The entitlements aren’t necessary. The sizing up. People have their own things going on. There was commentary about economically disadvantaged neighborhoods that can’t fund schools where their schools are underfunded and under resourced because they cannot pay their taxes. The value based opinion was classist and a bit elitist with current events of people having faced natural disasters and lost everything and being economically disadvantaged through no fault of their own. Was insensitive because people have their own emotional turmoil to go through. I don’t have time for the targeting to have to prove anything in anyone’s office. With everything else you have to go through you don’t need anyone else adding to it. The world trying to tear you down and people having to deal with emotional mental and physical health and economic disparities due to natural disasters or economic and social oppression. I do not want to be anyones egotistical bean bag. It’s not necessary. How are you doing would have been fine enough.
