Being a Martial Arts Master who has lived in South Korea. I can attest to this school being a real martial arts school and taught just like it is in South Korea. The people of Wentzville are truly blessed to have this school in Missouri. Generally you only find a school this caliber on the East or West Coasts , not the Midwest. GM Rhoades is truly one of a kind being Ex Military and taught by one of the foremost martial artists in the world GM Kim Myong Young. I think a real martial arts teacher should have spent time in our Nations Military. After all martial arts is supposed to create people of strong character. Please consider this school before visiting any others, if not you will truly miss out.

If you are looking for a dojo that embodies the elements of QAnon. Look no further.... Security cameras all around, check. Cones on the property line before the entrance, check. Unfinished marble monument in the back, check. And the coup de gras! An onsite quality man that will grace you with his presence to threaten you before you can even speak. This is the place for you. Not me.

UPDATE: 4 years later and both kids STILL have Hapkido 3 days a week. The kiddos even managed to talk me into joining the Women's Self Defense class. Now I've been attending for over a year and these kids are working on my husband to get HIM to join. _____________________ Both of our children attend this fantastic school at least three days a week. If we could give it 10 stars, we would. The skills our children are learning are not limited to defense and martial arts but also include respect, courtesy, community, and accountability. These lessons will help keep them safe and prepared to face the world as they grow up. The teachers and owner are disciplined, knowledgeable, and great with kids. Our daughter considers Hapkido the "best part of her day" and laments days she cannot attend due to vacation or holidays. Her abject excitement made joining the school the biggest highlight of her younger brother's 5th birthday. Now they both wake up in the morning already excited for evening classes. This is a wonderful school with an amazing staff! My son has been going here for a little over a year and a half and he loves it. His confidence has soared and he looks forward to going every day! The whole family is now involved and we love it plus it is fun! After researching many martial arts schools this place was definitely a blessing as it works best with our lives and schedule and they are very family oriented. Highly recommend this school!

What a great place to learn about self defense. Focus is on honor respect and love. Grand Master Rhoades is an awesome leader. Our family has been blessed by their teachings since the first day we walked in the door. Our daughter has made many positive changes since she started 2 years ago. You couldn't find a better place. Thank you Grand Master Rhoades for pushing her to be the best she can be in all areas of life not just self defense. All the instructors and staff are wonderful and we enjoy the welcome feeling while there. You really won't find anything better.

Visited this school while I was home for the Christmas holiday. Grandmaster Rhoades was nice enough to sit down and share with me the stories of his martial arts journey as well as tour his dojang. A very friendly staff and welcoming environment that emphasizes the importance of self defense with real world applications. Highly encouraged for anyone looking to learn Hapkido.

There are so many reasons we just love this gym. I can not praise the entire staff enough for going above and beyond for these kids. Our daughter is 5 and just loves going here every night during the week. She has started having anxiety over learning to spar and sometimes has off days and doesn't want to go inside. Grandmaster Michael Rhoades and Coach P have been amazing in helping her relax and get excited for class on her off days. They never judge or give up. They positively encourage and talk with her in a calming way that relaxes her and makes her excited for class instead of being scared. We are so happy to be a part of this amazing Hapkido family and look forward to many more years with this organization. Thank you for all you do and Thank you for showing you truly care.
