9 Fruits Bilingual School

Our daughter attended 9 Fruits Learning Center from Kindergarten all the way through 4th grade, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Over these five years, it truly became a second home for her. We especially appreciated how the center synchronizes its semester scheduling with the nearby school districts and even offers additional care during school holidays, which made managing our family calendar so much easier. The Chinese curriculum is excellent—balancing listening, speaking, reading, and writing in a way that kept her engaged and proud of her heritage. Beyond the academics, the teachers truly care about character development. We loved the variety of enrichment activities, from Chinese cooking to arts and crafts, which made learning the language fun rather than a chore. The academic support in math and English was also a huge benefit for our family. What made the experience even better was the sheer convenience for working parents; they provide a reliable driver pickup service from her day school, which gave us such peace of mind every afternoon. We are so grateful to the 9 Fruits headmaster, teachers and staff for providing such a nurturing, convenient, and culturally rich environment during our daughter's formative years.

Our daughter was at Nine Fruits afterschool for 6 years, from kindergarten to 5th grade, even attending virtually when we moved away during the pandemic. The facilities are new, clean and safe. The teachers are passionate about teaching, set high standards and support the kids to reach them. The administrators are caring, capable and on top of things. Everything is designed to be so thoughtful to the needs of working parents: from the school driver pickup service they help arrange, the efficient drive through pickup line, and the extended care options during school holidays. They also provide other enrichment music/art/science/ math/etc. programs at the school to sign up for. My daughter's Mandarin at 9 Fruits reached a very high native level, beyond what regular school Mandarin immersion program covered. Wish we could find as good a program where we are now. Highly recommend.

Our two kids have been at Nine Fruits for many years - oldest graduated a couple years ago after 6 years at Nine Fruits, youngest has two years to go. Both have learned a lot of Chinese - reading, writing, and speaking - and also benefited from the cultural lessons and other enrichment elective activities (math and music). They've also benefited from the supervised after-school socializing and play time with their friends, and extra reading time. Our kids have also done summer programs at Nine Fruits and had very good experiences. There is some homework/review work for the kids, but it's age-appropriate and IMO not at all excessive. A few other positives: - Nine Fruits coordinates to provide background-checked drivers to provide safe transportation to Nine Fruits from our kids' elementary school, which is extremely convenient. - Nine Fruits also did a very good job supporting the kids with distance learning options through the pandemic, and has been very good about adding cleaning, social distancing as best they can in the classroom, and keeping kids generally following safe COVID protocols through the pandemic. - Teachers and staff have been very friendly, caring and professional with us in our interactions with them. On one occasion, when we felt there was another child's misbehavior that was affecting our child, we raised our concern to the staff and they dealt with the needed communications and corrective discipline promptly, fairly and professionally, and it was never an issue again. - Fees are very reasonable IMO and a good investment. We're very grateful that Nine Fruits has provided a great after-school program for our kids and the greater community.

I have sent my 2 children to ninefruits for many years now and have been really impressed with the curriculum and teaching. They do a fantastic job of teaching reading, writing, as well as nurturing the children. They also have great extracurricular activities like chess, music, and martial arts. My son who is not a native speaker can read and write Chinese. I am impressed with the quality of teaching and their overall program.

Nine fruits bilingual school staff and teachers create an encouraging and safe environment. We are lucky to have them teaching Chinese in our community. The facility is very well organized.
