Beautiful campus. Very friendly and helpful faculty & staff. Huge for a community college. They offer a plethora of courses and programs including being a HiSet testing facility

** THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE COUNSELOR ON CAMPUS SPECIFICALLY** Okay, so I'm not going to go into much detail to protect myself from any identifying information. BUT—The counselor, Chase Walling, is straight up unprofessional, excessively uses profanity, and is arrogant. He raised his voice at me once. Not to mention he constantly interrupts you and speaks over you and not once have I done that to him. Easily one of the rudest and most disrespectful counselors I've ever had the misfortune of meeting.

I graduated there in Criminal Justice in 2002. I tried other areas before ending up in Criminal Justice. Have no complaints with the Criminal Justice department. I tried Commerical Arts and the teachers in that department what can I say without being ugly about that department. They really do need to get there stuff together. When I first started there we had to take a test. If we didn't meet the score for what we wanted to go for we had to take a class to help us meet the score. Well the office staff thought I was going for a G.E.D. at the time. They were assuming and I had to constantly correct them that I wasn't going for that.

I recommend this school! I've enjoyed being here since 2015 right after High School. The professors, faculty and staff are great! Since being at SOWELA I have grown and I feel prepared for my future endevors! Sowela has been a blessing to me! I am so glad I started here before transferring to a University!

I'm a first year student. Currently attending Sowela. The classes are fine. My problem is with the departments not communicating with each other and the instructors not communicating with the students. If you want to get something done, you have to call repeatedly and almost always end up with no solution.

Great school. Staff is amazing. They only help if you get your butt up and ASK! Some teachers don't motivate you as much, but its up to YOU to get your work done.

Financial Aid is not well informed,and you have to track down all information that they should already have. The school in general,is good. Just don't expect allot of help or knowledge from the Office Staff.
