My time at ELC has been the best experience of my life. I spent 8 months at ELC with all the great teachers and staff members who were like a family for me. I have improved my English a lot thanks to the several courses that I have followed, either the general courses, where I got to know many cultural varieties, or the Cambridge program. I enjoyed this trip a lot, ELC is a place where you can easily make friends and have fun thanks to the several activities proposed by the school. I am going to miss this school, the good atmosphere and all the people that I have met there. I am looking forward to visit this school as soon as possible! I wish that everyone will enjoy their stay like I did! ELC is definitely a good school where you can improve your English and live an unforgettable experience.

ELC is a really good school. I have been studying here for 6 months and it has been a really amazing experience. I have always been around wonderful people who made my stay amazing. The teachers and all the people who work in the school are kind and really helpful. Santa Barbara is a beautiful place to live and have a lot of fun. Definitely, ELC is perfect if you want to learn English.

I attended ELC classes for three weeks in an intensive course. Since day one I felt as I was in a family: staff was very kind and helpful, classmates were very friendly. Above all, Santa Barbara is awesome and ELC building is in a beautiful place in the town. Courses were very interesting (grammar, communications, reading & writing, slang class): the method of teaching was effective and every student had the possibility to speak. At the end of every week there were a grammar quiz that's a really good idea to make students study. They also organized other extra activities such as dancing or surfing courses, parties, tournaments in many sports (soccer, beach volleyball, ping pong...): that was a great idea to allow people to stay together and keep on talking an learning English. I surely recommend ELC!

I had a great time in ELC Santa Barbara!!! The teachers and staff are very friendly, and the city is amazing. I'm really glad to have met new and specials friends from different countries. Those friendships will last forever!!! Living in a host family can be a great experience, but i didn't like it too much, cause my host family lived too far from the school. After moving to La Brezza, i could enjoy more the city, cause it is closer.

I am really glad I picked ELC for my Cambridge course. The school is located in the center of Santa Barbara. This allows students to reach grocery stores, restaurants, bars and the beach within few minutes to max. 30 minutes. I really liked that the school isn't too big and that therefore the contact to the teachers and students was closer and more familial than it probably would've been if the school had been bigger. The classes were always held by motivated teachers in a good learning atmosphere. I was always treated friendly and with respect. I recommend this school to everybody who is looking for a smaller and more personal school in a rather small city with many possibilities for young people. I give only 4 stars because I wished the amount of Swiss students would've been smaller and the amount of international students a bit bigger.

ELC Santa Barbara is one of the great schools in the United States. This school gives you many different classes trying to improve your English and providing new skills. The experience that I had was amazing, so the teachers are helpful and supportive to the whole students. ELC stuff are also helpful and for respectful to all of us, they are trying to offer many great activities to their students to give them a chance to know about American culture as they did. Indeed, i will recommand ELC Santa Barbara to my friends and relatives.

I'm so glad to have chosen ELC. ELC is centrally situated so it doesn't take long to get to the beach nor to downtown. It's a charming little school which makes you feel familiar immediately. We are between 5 and 9 students in class. Unfortunately, mostly Swiss people attend Cambridge classes, so we don't have the cultural mix like regular classes at ELC. The teachers are very competent and helpful. There was always enough learning material provided and I always could ask questions. We have discussed a lof of interesting issues about Santa Barbara and America which has helped me to find places worth visiting, understand the culture better and find good bars and restaurants. In other words, it has helped me to feel at ease in Santa Barbara. After school and on weekends, various programs and trips have been offered like kayaking, surfing, Las Vegas trip,... which I enjoyed so much! A great experience which I will never forget!!
