My daughter goes here and she is in the biomedical program and she absolutely loves this school. She is training to be a surgeon, and she feels that the biomed classes she is taking are really preparing her for university.And for the reality of working in medicine (she is even learning about HIPAA, insurance paperwork, etc.). She has friends in the culinary program, and they are enthusiastic about the training they are getting. As a parent, I can tell you the campus is gorgeous and is pretty easy to get to For everyone north of charleston boulevard in las vegas. The student body seems friendly, and all types of people are welcome here. I feel really thrilled that this is a school that does not charge tuition but gives an incredible education to its students.

This school is absolutely amazing. I was part of the Massage Therapy Program and the instructors helped me through every stage phenomenally! I passed my MBLEx at the appropriate time and graduated after just 1 year with full confidence to hit the ground running into my career! Can’t thank this school and program enough 🙂

The absolutely worst decision I ever made having my child attend this school! If your child is a minority I strongly suggest you decline if your child is one of the few they accept! They make it sound good when you tour the school but im telling you from personal experience it’s nothing like they promise!!!

School refuses to fulfill a parent’s request for a students transcript. Talked to the registrar and assistant principals office and everyone wants to play the game of it’s someone else’s problem just like the hall monitors who ask students what they want them to do about it when told that students are doing drugs in the bathroom. Want your kid to do drugs and learn no responsibility then this is the school for them.

My son is a freshman. You have to apply like any other magnet school in CCSD. They do not take transfers after freshman year. There is a wait list and it's extensive. This year alone, 3000 8th graders applied, but only 500 were offered enrollment. They have selections of programs. Your child applies for 3 in the order of preference. They'll be selected for one along with the offer of enrollment. School is very clean and they do have stricter rules compared to other general CCSD schools. They offer honors courses based on your child's academic achievement or test scores. Definitely an academically challenging school. They only offer intramural sports as well as clubs for after school activities. If your child wants to play football, baseball, soccer, etc., they have to play at the school he or she is zoned based on where you live.

08/10/19 Very poor parent communication. School starts in two days and we still don't have any information about where our students are supposed to go. At freshman orientation we were told we could pay fees and when it came time, they had stopped taking money because it was lunch time for them. We had to get pretty vocal before they decided to reopen the bank. I hope the it gets better, otherwise it will be a LONG 4 years! 10/08/19 Things have gotten better. Still not the best from admin, but at least the teachers are great with communication. 12/17/19 Still EXTREMELY POOR communication for admin. You know you have this thing called Parent Link for a reason!! You use it when you want money, surveys, or open house. Why can't you use it to notify us of schedule times for finals, to let us know there are make up times available, or when there are other important information? Teachers are OUTSTANDING!!!

This school is phenomenal and I would recommend it to anyone going into high school because it really beats regular high school by far and is a great experience for anyone looking for a higher education. I'm a sophomore going into junior year and would't trade this for anything because its great environment and a excellent place to learn with our program areas you are set to succeed in life and I wish I could have this kind of experience in elementary and middle schools because its a great education and best part colleges love it. I'm really going to miss it when I graduate because This is the only school that I've taken pride in and enjoyed all the way though. I highly recommend it for anyone that wants a better education from there high school career.
