I was extremely nervous coming to this salon because I am very picky when it comes to people touching my hair. But I knew something needed to be done, and I am beyond grateful that I came across this salon. From the very beginning, Jay was incredibly attentive to my concerns and truly listened to my hair goals. After having my son, I completely neglected my hair, it was breaking and shedding badly. Starting my hair growth journey with Jay was one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I haven’t looked back since. Her knowledge, patience, and talent really show in her work. The atmosphere is definitely a vibe, and the added touch of snacks and drinks makes the experience even better. I would highly recommend anyone who is struggling with their hair growth journey to trust Jay’s talented hands. You will not be disappointed!

I’m fairly new to her chair, but already a repeat customer because she’s the only person I trust with my hair now. She’s honestly a hidden gem. She doesn’t just "do" my hair, she genuinely cares about the overall health of it and gives thoughtful, honest advice about what it needs. Every appointment feels peaceful and almost nostalgic in the best way, like being back in a familiar, comforting salon from my childhood. I always leave feeling relaxed, cared for, and confident. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their hair.

Janella is truly a rare gem who prioritizes the health and integrity of your hair and your goals! She is not scissor happy and truly has "growing hands". Do yourself a favor and go to her for all of your hair care and styling needs!

Jay did a wonderful job of making me feel comfortable and sharing past hair trauma. She took the time to listen and offer solutions in regards to my crown. So grateful to have met her!

I am a perfectionist and I always conduct extensive research for any service I use. I found Mrs. Janella Duncan in June 2022. I came to her to fix the problem I had with my hair breaking off and thinning in the back. She prescribed her treatments and I began using those for a couple of months. She also has me using the John Amico products at home to maintain consistency with my hair growth journey. She not only stopped the breaking and shedding, but she also transformed my hair from being dry and brittle to the healthiest its ever been. I got a perm on the second appointment and I haven’t received a touch up yet!!!! My hair has grown and matured even though I workout everyday and I sweat it out. Janella is very professional, a master of her craft, humble, consistent, and reliable. I have truly made the perfect decision to choose Janella as my hair stylist.

I NEVER leave reviews but I had to come here and rave about my experience with Janella at her salon! It was amazing! I was very nervous to get my hair done because I have had such awful experiences in the past with hair trims(cutting way too much) and hair color( coming out orange when I asked for light brown) etc. Right off the bat she sat me down and asked me questions about my hair goals and concerns. This was so important to me because usually I feel like I’m rushed. Then once we started, she answered all of my questions and was very patient with my hair throughout. I am natural with very thick hair. I received highlights, a trim, and the chocolate smoothie treatment. I was in LOVE with the results 🥰 The color was beautiful, the trim was actually just a trim, and the smoothie was some kind of Harry Potter magic because my hair was swinging! The biggest test however was when I wore my hair down for the first day of school(teacher here!). It was hot, crazy, and I was sweating! By the end of the day my hair was still swinging 😳! HARRY POTTER MAGIC! I have already booked my next 2 appts. with her! I highly recommend! *UPDATE* So ladies I wanted to come back and update since it’s been 7months since my first review. All I can say is wow! I have now had multiple services with Janella and I have not once been disappointed. But that is not the best part, the best part is that my hair is actually GROWING under her care. Now, some context about my hair, is that it has always been stuck at shoulder length. It would grow but I was never able to retain the length. Now, I am! I am posting this review after just receiving highlights and the chocolate smoothly service. It came out absolutely amazing! This is the first time I tried to go lighter without it turning out orange! Doesn’t matter who I went to in the past, I always left in tears. But, so far, Janella has not steered me wrong so I took a chance and I am absolutely blown away by the results! Also, it still feels sooo soft and healthy. My advise if you really want to see a change in your hair is to follow her advice down to the shampoo and conditioner recommendations. I use exactly what she tells me between appointments and I am loving the results. PS: Hair is STILL swinging! HARRY. POTTER. MAGIC. Trust me!

SalonSqhaired has been my stylist for years and I can trust that each visit will be 💯 on quality and recommendations for the sake of healthy hair and beautiful hair styling results. Absolutely great at what she does and was able to correct my frizzy and water fatigued naturally curly hair.... And when my hair is straight, humidity protection. Great work, and would highly recommend.
