Chaos Salon

I got a haircut with Crystal at Chaos Salon for the first time last week. I gave myself a week to live in it and think about before writing a review. Overall, bad customer service and bad haircut. I don’t write reviews and haven’t ever left a bad review for a salon before, but after spending $100 just for a cut I’m feeling a little swindled. Stylist was 10 minutes late for appointment from running over from previous. Totally fine but no apology or greeting when she was ready for me just a ‘Hey’ as I’m looking at my phone. We sit and chop a rough cut after we discuss taking 5 inches off with face framing layers. I notice she works to thin out my hair without asking (I admit I said nothing but I trust that she’s doing her job), then tells me to go to shampoo bowl without further communication. She goes to the back room and I’m confused but a separate shampooist comes out a minute later. Go back to sit for cut with Crystal and then get blown dry. Attached photos are final result that I blow dried 1 week post-cut. Pictures speak for themselves and I’m upset at the price I paid for this work.. Layers completely uneven and not blended, and no face framing pieces. Admittedly I said it looked fine when I was sitting in the chair but what was I supposed to say? I did not want any more chopped off and decided to reassess after a week. I personally will not be returning and would not recommend.

Chaos salon is a special place if you’re looking for a one of kind hairstylist. Getting my hair done there is like going home. As soon as I walk through the door I’m greeted by everyone like it’s a family reunion. They greet me excitedly by first name and as soon as I sit in the chair, TOM, my stylist, knows exactly what I want done to my hair. It’s as if he reads my mind. TOM is a consistently excellent stylist and colorist. I’ve trusted him with my hair for over two decades. I’ve listened to how Tom and his co-owner brother talked to all their other customers and they treat them like family too. They are not only amazing at their craft but they care about their customers. Bravo, Chaos!

I love this salon. The ambiance and feel of this salon is amazing there’s life and creativity flowing through here. You can tell that the staff really care about each other and their clients. Cao gave me a haircut to die for, I have never in all my life received such an amazing haircut till he cut mine. Crystal does my color and she’s a master. She will work and strive for you to be happy with your color. Bruno had given me such amazing blow drys and it will last for days! I cannot recommend this place enough!!!

the dye job was fine, but the stylist I had has zero clue how to service curly hair. Like, at all. I understand it's not taught at standard cosmetology school ( :/ ), but just watch some simple home tutorials from people with curly hair and you'll be good. If most services require a shampoo, you really should know how to style all hair types from wet --> in a wash-n-go or blow-dry fashion, not just straight and wavy hair.

I switched to Chaos after randomly walking past the salon one day. I called to schedule a curly cut and the receptionist placed me with Ginger. When I say that this haircut was life changing, I am not exaggerating. I have never had so many compliments on my hair in my ENTIRE LIFE. And the compliments continue well after my first cut. She has a process and it works- it was not a typical curly cut, as she did blow my hair out straight in the process, but TRUST HER. I’ve never been more confident with my hair or felt so attractive. Also, Ginger is a hilarious and kind soul who loves dogs. The vibe in the salon is professional but lighthearted. Modern, but no nonsense— no upselling or gimmicks. Just good haircuts. I look forward to going there every single time.

Can’t say enough amazing things about this salon! Trendy, great atmosphere, skilled professionals- Phoung & Crystal were absolutely amazing and made my teenage son’s hair dreams come true! They also made us smile and laugh the whole time! All of the staff are warm and welcoming! Great location, easy parking right across the street! Not often you find this kind of gem!

Phung was the best stylist I have ever gone to. He listened to my wants and concerns and was empathetic and supportive and gave ne the best solution for my hair type and lifestyle. I have thin fine hair and at Mt age (49) is starting to shed more than ever! It was terrifying to see in the shower all that hair that I already had so little of! This hair cut he gave me fixed that problem and I've gotten so many compliments on how healthy and cute it looks! 100% recommend Chaos and Phung!!!
