I recently visited this spa to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. From the beginning, the service felt unprofessional. While other guests were given a proper tour of the facility, my friend and I who are African American—were not, which made us feel overlooked and unwelcome. The salt room was overcrowded, and several guests were completely unclothed in a shared space, which was inappropriate and uncomfortable. My massage experience was even more concerning. During the session, the therapist repeatedly touched me in ways that made me feel uncomfortable, particularly around my chest and lower body. I asked multiple times for her to stop and requested privacy while changing, but she did not respect my requests or leave the room. This made me feel unsafe and violated. Additionally, when I entered the room, the therapist was already lying on the massage table, which further added to the unprofessional atmosphere. Overall, the experience left me feeling upset, disrespected, and taken advantage of. I went to this spa expecting a relaxing and professional environment for my birthday, but instead I left feeling distressed and disappointed. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve staff training, professionalism, and guest safety.
Spa LA has really become my place. I usually go there for the sauna and steam room, but I also very much enjoy and appreciate the clay room and the Himalayan salt room; they’re so relaxing and help me reset. — but they also have excellent treatments and massages if you ever want to treat yourself a bit more. I’ve tried all the other ladies-only spas in LA, and the steam room was always the most important thing to me when choosing where I’d go regularly. Spa LA is the only one that truly lives up to my standards. I go about three times a week now and it never disappoints. They recently opened a co-ed area too, which is perfect for couples or friends who want to enjoy a spa day together. The co-ed side has a sauna, steam room, hot tub, and even a cafeteria — everything you need for a full, relaxing day. Honestly, it’s just one of those places where you walk in and immediately feel better. The stuff is kind, knowledgeable and always aim to make your time there as wonderful as it can be. Nadia just fantastic! Elevating this place from excellent to exceptional with her magical persona! 🫶 Highly recommend!
Thouroughly enjoyed my full body scrub down! The facilities were very clean and nice and the sauna rooms were so relaxing. Could easily spend all day there. There is a co-ed area now where all the food is but I ran out of time for that. You also need a bathing suit for that area. Will definitely go back on my next LA trip!
On 2/15/26, I treated myself and my Boo to a post Valentine Swedish Couples Massage. Let me mention, we're from the Bay Area and often go to Napa Valley for our Swedish massages . I say that to say...I've had several massages and know what to expect. This experience was horrible, uncomfortable and quite awkward. To start, I changed into my bikini and decided to take a full body picture in the full body wall mirror in the female powder room. As I was taking my selfies, a woman (i believe she worked there) walked directly in front of the mirror and slid it open proceeded to go behind it and close it back (it was a sliding door). Not sure if it was a 2way mirror, but it was awkward. I proceeded to the massage room with our "massage therapist." I was told to undress and to lay on the massage table face down. My "massage therapist-Sarah" stood there the entire time as I undressed. She took my clothing items from me as I took them off and placed them on the table. At one point I was standing there naked with her standing right next to me. She never left the room to give me privacy. She never really massaged me she did more of rubbing and sliding her hands up and down my body and ligaments. The oil she applied on my body was excessive and COLD. I jumped each and every time she drenched my body with it. She then began SLAPPING my buttocks and making it jiggle. She did it on both sides. Leaving my buttocks fully exposed. She asked me to turn over on my back at which point I did. Once on my back she began to rub my chest area right above my breast. Sarah, then proceeded to rub my breast. I WAS IN DISBELIEF. I should have stopped her then but I was just so confused and in shock. Once the massage was over...she asked me..."Did you like??" I just stared at her. I was just soooo confused. She then stated..."I like you...I like your energy." My boyfriend had already tipped both "therapists. I didn't mention it to my man until we were in the car. He was not happy. Ladies be careful and beware. This was not ok. It really hit me when we got back home to the Bay Area. I was violated no doubt, but again it didn't set in until I got home. I had a conversation with my mother and explained to her how stupid I felt for not speaking up in the moment. Maybe I was in denial or shock. But whatever the case it made me uncomfortable and I didn't pay $300 to feel uncomfortable. Lesson learned. I will never patronize SPA LA Again and ladies you all should think twice. Oh, and my body is still tight. My body was tense the entire time. Be safe ladies and if it doesn't feel right it ain't right!
I had a lovely time here. So many different amenities. I truly loved the yoni steam! The tea given there was delicious. All the different baths there were great! I’d definitely come back 💯 You’d have to park in the parking garage. There’s no food here, but they do have rice crackers/tea/water.
I loved my experience here however I would highly suggest getting more comfortable tables in the wet massage room. I went in hoping to alleviate tension in my neck and upper back during the massage and unfortunately the tables did not have any sort of neck support or those holes you can put your face in so I was not able to fully relax my neck. I felt relaxed everywhere else on my body but still had pain in the areas that were most important to me to relieve. The rest of the experience was great though and I loved how we are able to freely use the salt, clay and LED rooms. Complimentary tea is also served. I want to come back again and try a different kind of massage to see if the other tables are more comfortable.
I’ve been getting facials for over forty years, but this spa is on another level. Celine is amazing! She really takes her time, gets to know your skin, and fixes everything like magic. This isn’t just a facial—it’s a full-on skincare session. She got rid of all my dry, cracked spots and made my skin look refreshed again. Her work is incredible. If you want the best facial, don’t bother going anywhere else. Go to Le Spa by Sophie!
