Takashima - Irvine

I can’t believe I’ve been shopping at this store for years without noticing their outrageous prices. On November 27, 2024, I spent $171.45 on just one face wash, one serum and 1 bag of face mask. When I got home and showed my friend, she pointed out how overpriced these items are. They charged me $49.99 for the Dr. G RED Soothing Serum, while I found it on Amazon for just $39.00, and there's a Black Friday deal for only $19.99. As for the Ginza Creamy Cleansing Foam, they sold it for $99.99, yet my friend purchased it on eBay for only $65.99. I feel completely ripped off and to make matters worse, the receipt clearly states "all sales are final, no returns allowed." This is infuriating. I will never shop here again. I expected fair prices, but this experience has been incredibly disappointing. If they continue to overcharge customers like this, I can only imagine how quickly their business will decline once more people find out.

Like most people said there are very few price tags on items. I got a smiski and it was $20 so $5-10 more than online but you pay for the convince of having it right away. They do offer trades which is good. Really cramped space and min $20 for credit card. It was ok but a little too expensive

The Takashima Irvine Store on Alton Parkway is a scam. Read the other reviews. They mark up the price on the store and have a non-refundable policy that is violating California Civil Code § 1723. I purchased a Prime Finished Power for $39.99 at the store only to noticed that I could have purchased it for half the price at other retailers. 7 minutes after my purchased, I alerted the clerk and they refused to refund my money. The Manager Linda acknowleged that they mark up the price but would not refund my money. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! You can get all the products for much less in other honest retail stores.

Honestly this place was terrible. I first walked in with my friend and it all looked fine. Me and my friend were browsing around then i noticed 2-3 different workers following us?? I thought maybe it was just a coincidence but no, they were just following us. I understand that theft is a common thing but this made me feel so weird and discriminated in a way. Please do not come here.

Second time going here and to be honest the reviews had me worried. They were right that some of the products don't have prices and that's troublesome. However, the employs were very nice and have pretty good knowledge of the products. The lady in charge was also super nice and talked to us a little about the products we got. All in all a nice experiance.

Prices are about 30% higher than other Japanese supermarkets or Amazon, and All sales are Final!!!The no-return policy is shown after payment, and staff claim their system "has no refund function." Very disappointing.
