Service is very good except more cashier's are needed. The supermarket is exceptionally clean. The produce is always fresh and it is easy to find what you are looking for. Thank you Key Food Supermarkets.
It’s a good shop with nice variety of products. The staff immediately knew where the product I was looking for located. However, things seemed to be slightly more expensive than the other grocery stores in the neighborhood.
This place frequently sells items with mold so you have to check everything. They must not quality check their stock. Just a few days ago I bought a bottle of orange juice and it had mold around the opening. I was pretty disgusted about the staff’s reaction when I brought it back. They couldn’t care less and were rude to me. I won’t be shopping here again.
In the UES theres a lot of places to foodshop. A whole foods, gristedes, fairway, and key foods. When i come back from the gym i prefer to go here instead of gristedes or wholefoods bc the line is usually shorter, and its consistently cheaper than gristedes, which is weirdly overpriced. I would prefer to get my meat and poultry from whole foods, and id rather get on a crosstown bus to go to trader joes on 92nd to get some specialty items, but for everything else i think keyfoods is the best option. Especially for cereal, snacks, boxed goods, and pretty much all brand items
Good grocery store, convenient location, not much wait on the cashier line. I only have a couple issues 1. The berries (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries) near the front are usually spoiled and the prices are typically marked down when it’s obvious they’re spoiled. Tough to justify when there’s a fruit cart right outside offering better prices 2. A lot of times they run out of chicken breasts or the ones left are way too expensive (6 bucks a pound)
Store has gone downhill. Stopped by to buy a single item (block of cheese,) waited on the express line for 10 minutes, checked out and left, only to be chased for two blocks and accused of shoplifting. Showed the accuser my credit card charge (cause who takes a receipt for cheese?) I went back to the store and explained the situation to the manager only to hear that the accuser doesn’t even work for Key Food, but was a contracted delivery person and loss prevention isn’t even part of their job!
Very misleading promotional and sales campaign. Moreover, watch out, many times the advertised price is completely different than what you pay on the cash. The prices are not registered properly in the system. You need to keep an eye on the screen. I am fed up being cheated on this store. Almost every time I discover new thing. Today I went to buy some groceries. I found coffee on sale with advertised price in big $5.99. I took two of them. Since I got stolen so many times before, I was scrutinizing the cashier screen and took photo of all the prices as advertised. At the cashier, the coffee price became $7.99 and the second one was $13.99. The cashier explained that the price $5.99 is for the club card holder, and the offer is limited to only 1 item. Please look at the advertised promotion photo that I took and juge for yourself. Honestly I believe whoever is in charge of this store/promotions and manger should be fired on the spot for cheating their customers. I’ll never go back EVER. I am also going to file a complaint at the NY General Attorney Office website. SOOOO UNETHICAL PEOPLE I did the mistake a come back to this place. Again another misleading pricing. The tag does not correspond to the items. Guys you need to get it together … Shame on you.
