Prices can be higher than mainstream supermarkets, and produce quality may vary, but the selection is impressive. Perfect for adventurous cooks and anyone seeking authentic Asian flavors in Manhattan.

Small store but big selection. They provide good prices and often the items I come to shop for are on sale. The store is kept clean and orderly. The cashiers always help pack items in my tote bag while I complete my transaction at the card terminal. The food is always fresh and I never have to worry about having to check the exp dates which is a huge relief.

Amazing variety for cooking (for example tonight there were 14 kinds of fresh hot peppers, incl Jamaican & Mexican along with all the diff Asian). Some of the prices are pretty wild, so it’s not that useful as a general grocery. More as a stop for rare/cool stuff and some great values on frozen & prepared foods.

H Mart is one of the best novelty stores in New York City. It offers great imported food from the East and the best skincare items. Oh, and the sushi is fresh and amazing any time of the day. The store is clean, and the displays of items are amazingly placed. You want to buy everything you see.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a deeply concerning incident that occurred at one of your store locations. During a brief visit that lasted no more than two minutes, I was subjected to what I believe was clear racial profiling and inappropriate physical contact by store staff. As a Black woman, I felt targeted from the moment I entered the store. An employee approached me and attempted to physically detain me over cotton swabs that were visibly in my hand the entire time. Instead of listening to me or handling the situation professionally, assumptions were made, and I was treated as if I had done something wrong without cause. I was particularly disturbed that I was physically touched during this interaction. I felt embarrassed, humiliated, and discriminated against. The staff declined to contact law enforcement, which further suggests acknowledgment that the situation was mishandled. No customer should ever feel racially profiled, disrespected, or physically grabbed while shopping. This experience was unacceptable, especially within our own community. I am requesting that this matter be thoroughly investigated and that a manager or corporate representative contact me directly regarding this incident. I would appreciate a prompt response outlining the steps that will be taken to address this situation. Thank you for your immediate attention to this serious concern.

H Mart is a go-to destination for Asian groceries. The selection is impressive—fresh produce, live seafood, specialty snacks, and hard-to-find ingredients. Their ready-made meals and food court options are also excellent. Clean, well-organized, and always worth the trip. Great addition to the neighborhood

Had such a great variety of items. Fresh meat, seafood, and produce. Not very crowded when I went (Tuesday 4:30PM) Quick checkout, not personable.
