Yummy Grill And Buffet

Over the 3 years I have lived in this area of indiana one thing that I could never find was a decent Chinese buffet like we had everywhere in Michigan. I drove past this place a hundred times and never thought of stopping partly because of my bad experiences with other buffets and partly because the place looks like a dive from the outside. All I can say is sleeping on this place was a mistake. The first time we went was on a Friday at about 530pm, the place was packed, we were seated immediately, and even though there were alot of people there is didn't feel crowded. The decor is what you should expect to see in a Chinese buffet, the statues over the koy pond, the back lit pictures on the walls etc. They have a large buffet spanning a dozen serving tables offering a decent variety of Chinese dishes along with American, salad bar, massive desert bar, sushi, and my favorite the Mongolian grill which is very uncommon at buffets in Indiana. They even had mudbugs( crayfish) and frog legs, again a staple we miss from Michigan not found here unless you want to drive to Indianapolis. And the staff was rotating fresh steamer trays of food every 15 minutes or so. The servers were very attentive clearing plates almost as soon as we finished them and refilling drinks without having to be flagged down. And the price was more than reasonable, dinner and a drink for less than $19 a person. We have gone back several times and we are going for lunch there as I write this. Don't miss on this little gem of muncie.

The food has gone down hill it used to be good everytime but thats just not the case anymore. The food tastes different you can tell they have different chefs than they used to. The pineapple chicken is still good but i wouldn't touch the general tso's chicken its not even close to how its supposed to taste there's only one place I go for general tso's chicken and im afraid I can't tell anyone about that hidden gem 😉 its not all bad im just very specific in what I like. By no means am I telling you to not go there there is still plenty of good food to be eating at there I even still go there from time to time just to check up and see how they are doing.

My daughter went in tonight, usually they go there often, however tonight will be the last time ever. She found this in her potato, which to her, myself and everyone else, looks like a fried cockroach. She brought it to the waitress attention and she told her "oh it’s just chicken that’s cooked with the potatoes. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine." I’m not sure what chicken she was talking about since the potatoes don’t have chicken in them. She called back in to speak with a manager who was extremely rude and hateful and told her she had already told her what it was and she would be fine. She’s lucky we live 2 hours away. But I will make sure everyone knows not to go to this place!

This place had everything! HUGE buffet and not badly priced. The food was fresh and tasted great. They had boiled crawfish!! I couldn't believe it! I'm from NOLA and the crawfish were delicious! First place I've been to here that's had good crawfish.

This place has went from bad to worse! At 6:30 pm on a Thursday evening 75% of the items on the buffet, were either old and cold or empty! With many customers in the building, even the desserts were gone (see photos) When asked if they would replenish, they said, "5 minutes" but in a 1 hours time, nothing was restocked, NOTHING. I saw customers coming in on my way out and informed them of the lack of food, they thanked and said "they’ve been doing this" just Wow. When I called the next day to complain to management, she rudely informed me that "Golden Corral" is a 1/2 hr. down the road. I for one will never go back, when I pay dinner price the buffet table should be full. I do feel the board of health should do something about the standing water in the bathroom stalls, that is a SERIOUS health concern.

We go to Yummys at least once a week. Usually on Fridays. It's the only Chinese buffet worth going to. My husband loves the frog legs and crayfish. I prefere the ribs or the roast beef!

We went there around 5:00. To be honest the restaurant was clean. The staff was for the most part friendly, we'll get to that later, the food, even for a buffet, wasn't all that good. The pork egg roll had no pork in it. The egg drop soup literally just taste like chicken broth. The website said that it was $11 a person. For two people that would come up to $22 Plus drinks. Our total came up to $40.13. Nowhere on their site did it say that that was for the lunch. At least not that I noticed. When mentioning food quality the person in check out didn't care. Would not recommend. Could have gotten better food at Taco Bell.
