First Wok

First Wok is known through the city as the preferred Chinese restaurant in our university town. The food is always piping hot and tasty. I am a frequent customer and have never had a dish that disappointed. When I visit other cities and check out restaurants in this price category I come back grateful for a clean, pleasant atmosphere and the quality service at Muncie ‘s First Wok!

I ordered the General Tso combination. The chicken was pretty good but the sauce made the breading soggy. I was hoping for a crisper crust on the chicken. The menu used a chili pepper to mark that it was spicy but it really wasn’t. The combination came with a pork egg roll which ok, and a crab Rangoon which wasn’t very good. It tasted chewy and reheated. The food came out pretty quick considering I didn’t order ahead. The restaurant itself looked a bit old and outdated. This was obviously independently owned but it was ok.

I placed an order and unfortunately had to take my dog to the emergency vet and was unable to pick it up. I called and they made it a second time for me to pick up a few hours later and it was absolutely fire. Great people and great food!

It's been some time since Ive been here, and it was just as good as I remembered!!! It used to be my go to place before and now it will be again! The workers were kind, and super effecient. The food was hot and delicious. And the dumplings are my favorite kind! Thick wrappers and not the pot stickers. The sauce that comes with it is incredible too! I am DEFINITELY coming back.

My husband ordered the spare ribs and ended up getting nothing but fat and gristle with some red sweet and sour sauce all over it. Was nothing like the picture or description, couldn't even chew the "meat". Tried to go back in and ask about the sauce not being bbq sauce and the lady was cocky and rude and refused to replace the order with something different if we paid the difference even though she didn't tell us that it wasn't the right sauce to begin with. We definitely will not be returning!

Well I have been coming there about 20 years and all of a sudden the service and food started getting bad. The last three times I have been there the food was burnt and they forgot part of my order. Tonight I spent $102.00 I got two packs of burnt chicken on stick and missing my mo goo guy pan. You know $102.00 dollars is a lot of money.

Food was excellent, and The staff was very kind! We used to be regulars, but had not been for a couple years. They remembered us and made us feel very welcome!
