Hwang Soh Grill 황소 그릴 ( 곱창, 대창, 막창 Korean BBQ)

A real gem for gopchang BBQ with incredible hospitality. The cozy space and the friendly aunties greeting us with warm barley tea set the tone right away. We ordered beef intestines, NY steak, and pork belly, and soon our table was filled with an impressive spread of yummy banchan. The meats were all high quality, and the aunties grilled everything perfectly - the steak was flavorful, the pork belly crispy, and the beef intestines rich with a fatty textured that mellowed nicely after frying. The whole experience felt genuinely like family, and the quality and value are easily among the best in Chicago.

THE place to go to eat gopchang around the Chicagoland area and they are still continuing to serve it while maintaining quality and freshness. Service was immediate but they were getting really busy for just 2 servers. Side dishes were plentiful and always refilled. Get the fried rice they make in front of you after your meat entrees!!!

Hwang Soh Grill is hands-down one of the best Korean BBQ spots in the area! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and perfect for a fun meal with family or friends. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to help first-timers with the menu and grilling techniques. The quality of the meats was exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. We loved how every cut was tender and delicious, especially when grilled to perfection right at our table. The array of banchan (side dishes) was generous and tasty, with each one complementing the main dishes beautifully. We can’t wait to come back!

Highly recommend making a reservation! The place is lively with nonstop K-pop and tons of ceiling monitors, making it a fun experience. The staff was super attentive and friendly. We ordered marinated beef short ribs and gopchang soup. The short ribs had a naturally rich, sweet-savory flavor—perfect if you like a bit of sweetness. As a gopchang spot, their soup is a must-try! The gop was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, and the portion was huge. Definitely taking leftovers home. Amazing meal—I’ll be back for sure!

This Hwang Soh grill is absolutely amazing! The beef intestines are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly grilled — crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Portions are generous, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. The service is outstanding — attentive, friendly, and detail-oriented. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Korean BBQ!

This is the best Korean BBQ I have eaten in US. Great service, fresh and tender meat. The portion is also bigger than expected. Strongly recommended
