We drove over from Crockett to College Station yesterday to celebrate my birthday with friends. We have eaten at Mong Chon twice before but I have forgotten to give an review. We got there at around 11:30 for our lunch. The restaurant was empty and we had two young men as waiters and they were FANTASTIC. Made sure we had water, answered any questions we had and were just in general nice young men. My friend and I ordered iced Korean coffee. It was wonderfully sweet and milky. The coffee had a slighly burnt taste but I love a strong coffee so I really liked it, Karl said it was ok but not his favorite. For the meal we ordered a couple of the Korean pancakes. Kimchi and a seafood mix. Both were EXCEPTIONAL. I loved the seafood and was easily one of the 2 best Korean pancakes I have ever eaten. My wife preferred the kimchi. Did matter, both were phenomenal. Fir main dishes we order the beef bulogi, the fried pork belly, and the spicy pork and squid. The meal as included a portion of rice for each of us and the assorted pickles and side dishes of a traditional Korean meal. The water said all the sides were created in house and they tasted like home made. Some extra spicy some extra tart but each one were great. My order of preference in the mains were the beef, the spicy pork and squid, and finally the pork belly. Next time I plan trying the spicy pork belly. That spicy sauce is addictive. We left full and so happy we had eaten there. Please go. Skip the Korean hot pot. Yeah, it's OK, but this place is a true hidden gem in College Station.

I lived in South Korea for 2 years and can say their food is legitimate Korean! The restaurant even has a Korean feel which I love. Waitstaff is always very friendly and the food is always great and filling! $14 tax included for a bento box with 6 appetizers (one free refill allowed) can’t beat it!

I've eaten at many Korean Restaurants, this is the best one! The service and the food is fantastic. I had Galbi which had the best flavor that I've ever eaten. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend it.

The food is excellent, the service was fast and very attentive. I came here during a freeze and they were still open which was amazing. For the price you get a lot of food. And the utensils like the plates are nice. I highly recommend this place. 10/10

Phenomenal place to get your Korean food fix. All the plates we tried this time and last were delicious, fresh and prepared with care. Come here and relax, the food is to order so nonoe of this 5 min fast food unhealthy stuff. They do not serve alcohol bur their drinks are amazing such as teas, yogurts, sodas, rice and ginger drinks, aloe drinks.
