We stopped by Ohana Korean Grill for a late dinner and even though the place was packed, the staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. We were seated and served fairly quickly and appreciated the menu recommendations. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth the wait. If I find myself back in College Station, this will definitely be on my list to visit again.
Just ate here for the first time tonight and feel like I found a hidden gem. Food was great. Server was very helpful and kind. I also feel like I got great value for what the check was. I’m a pretty picky foodie who loves Michelin star restaurants and although it’s not quite Michelin star quality. I felt like it had a touch of small town Michelin star like features. Can’t wait to go back.
Been here multiple times already and each time the experience has been fantastic. Great tasting side dishes like kimchi and potatoes. I had the spicy pork and squid, very tasty. The others I went with had the Naengmyeon cold noodles and he recommends it. The bulgogi bibimbap was sizzling and also great. I also enjoyed the tea they serve after the meal. Overall great experience.
Today was my first visit to Ohana, and I had an excellent first experience here. I got a hot honey ginger tea which was excellent. Sweet and spicy with the ginger. The starters were great, with my favorite being the potatoes and radishes. We got the kimichi pancake as an appetizer, and I really enjoyed the flavors. My entree was the bulgogi bimbimbop with an egg on top, which all tasted great. Customer service was excellent, very friendly, and attentivly engaging the entirety of our visit. Whenever I am in College Station I will absolutely be back here regularly.
The best dining experience I've had in a very long time. 10 out of 10. My wife and I visited Ohana's Korean Grill today and have just reached home with happy, full bellies. The location is clean and calm. We entered the restaurant just as they opened for the day. We were greeted and seated by the sweetest woman we've ever met. I think I might have been adopted today. She was polite, prompt, pleasant and offered information on several menu items. Our drink order was served with a house bottomless appetizer of diakon, jellies, sesame sauce, and their house kimchi, which has to be the best kimchi I've ever had. We ordered an appetizer of tempura, served hot, freshly fried and tender. The love of my life ordered ribs and I chose the bibimbap with bulgolgi. After a short time, two more tables walked in and the hostess slash waitress sweetly greeted them. We quickly realized the hostess recognized both groups, seating them with pleasant conversations. Our food arrived soon after, steaming hot. My bibimbap sizzling in the stoneware bowl. The smell was overwhelming as we dug in. The wife made short work of her ribs, using the scissors to cut the gently sliced meat on bone into bite size pieces to enjoy with the radish and kimchi. The ribs were soft and flavorful. My mouth is watering a bit just thinking about them. I stirred in the fried egg, mixing the bean sprouts, carrot and bulgolgi beef into the simmering rice and liberally applied goju jang. The bowl kept my food hot through the course of our dinner. Every bite was a freshly cooked experience. The bibimbap was full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I am not ashamed to say it. We failed to finish or meals. The portions were large and sprawling, though we gave our best effort. The waitress was nearly intuitive, getting drink refills and even knowing when we had our fill, offering to box our remaining items to go. I have bibimbap sitting on my counter, waiting for my hunger to return. Don't tell the wife, but her ribs are free game as well.
I have been wanting to try this place for literally years now but my luck is horrible and they were closed every time I would get the chance. Well tonight I finally got to try it. It was DELICIOUS and everyone there is so friendly. They will explain how to eat the food, the difference in menu items, and even how to reheat if you happen to have had leftovers.I have tried 1 other sit down korean restaurant in town and this restaurant definitely bypasses all standards set by them. We will be back for sure. 1000/10 would recommend.
I'm not a huge Korean food fan, but I enjoyed the experience and the food. They were busy for such a small restaurant. The amount of food I received for the beef noodles was enough for 2-3 people. Good for leftovers. The service is very friendly and helpful!
