Go to this restaurant if you want to experience true Korean authenticity not just a meal, but a whole feeling. The food is bold, comforting, beautifully plated, and absolutely 😋 and no pricey at all for what you get!
Prompted service. Nice tasting soup in a winter day is always good choice ! Will come back to try other dishes.
If this place was near me I would eat it once a week. In general I don’t believe in going back to restaurants when traveling for work because there are so many good ones out there. Tang Maru is one I will return to! The spicy squid was amazing. Unexpectedly, it had udon-type noodles, which were a nice touch. Also had the rice cake soup, which was very good. The food was a tad more delicately-flavored than some other Korean restaurants I’ve been to, but in a good way. Service was perfect. They even gave me complimentary tea.
I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service, delightful ambiance, and outstanding cuisine. The Korean traditional hangover soup I ordered was truly delicious and expertly prepared. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. This restaurant has earned a spot as my favorite, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a superb dining experience.
We’ve been coming to this Korean restaurant regularly for their amazing oxtails, and recently we tried adding glass noodles—absolutely delicious! The service here is exceptional. We once accidentally ordered the wrong dish and ended up with a pork stew. Instead of asking for a change, we decided to keep it. To our surprise, the owner noticed and proactively asked if we wanted to change it. We were deeply touched by their warm-heartedness and kindness. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the service!
This place should be more popular but sadly it's now. We went there last Saturday and the food were sooo good. Probably some of the most authentic Korean food we had. The seafood pancake was soft inside and crunchy outside. The tofu side dish looks spicy but not really and very addicting. The Korean short ribs/galbi was super flavorful. Not salty but just the type u need to eat it with rice kind. So savory. the glass noddle was spot on. The bone broth soup was expected, flavor to your own taste. I was a little disappointed with no side dish of kimchi. But everything else was excellent. The service was great too, she came by to check on us a few times. This is a local spot. This place deserves more visitors. Please go give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
UPDATED: I finally got the chance to dine in and I think I have found my new go-to Korean spot in the area. The takeout was already good, but eating it fresh was (obviously) even better. To start, they bring you banchan. The banchan was slightly different that what they gave us for takeout. It was even better. They gave us these plates of tofu and it might be the best tofu I have ever eaten in my life. It was silky smooth, but doesn't easily break apart when you try to pick it up, and is topped with some gochujang and green onions. We ordered 3 lunch specials and a japchae. The lunch specials are a great deal because you can get a combo of a main and tofu soup, appetizer, or seolleongtang. We had tofu soup + seafood pancake, tofu soup + galbi, spicy pork + seollongtang. My favorites were the galbi and the japchae. The galbi isn't your traditional galbi but is stir-fried in sauce. It's not a bad thing, but just not what we were expecting. Between the four of us, we had a good amount of leftovers to take home. Can't wait to come back! ____________________________ Ordered takeout for a Friendsgiving. We had all the classics - seafood pancake, galbi, spicy pork, regular pork, japchae, and bibimbap. My favorite was the japchae and the galbi. They also gave us two containers each of banchan - kimchi, radish, and white kimchi. I've never had white kimchi before and I really liked it. I actually can't think of another Korean spot that serves it. Next time, I'll have to dine in and have everything fresh.
