Hanam BBQ House

Hanam is one of best BBQ spots anywhere. Love this place. Second visit and it was fantastic. The meats are super high quality. The brisket and wagyu were our two favorites. The waitress tends the grill go you and the charcoals are blazing hot when they get to your table. It isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for! Definitely worth the price. We went on a Saturday night and there were people waiting when we were finishing up.

Solid KBBQ spot in NJ. The meat quality was good — we ordered cow tongue and short ribs and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. It came with steamed egg and soup, which was a nice touch. They also cook the meat for you, so it’s a relaxed dining experience. The only downside this visit was the service at the start — when we arrived, there was a lady standing at the counter who wasn’t really helping us with ordering, which felt a bit awkward. Other than that, the experience was decent overall. Not a bad spot at all, but it’s still so hard to pick a true go-to KBBQ place in NJ.

This is a tasty reasonably priced Korean BBQ near the George Washington Bridge. The restaurant is a large modern space with extractors and grills at each table. It's functional rather than comfortable. The menu has several combo options for groups (a group is somewhat expected here) and they give a reasonable but not excessive assortment of banchan. I particularly enjoyed the oi kimchi. Lots of fresh lettuce was also provided. The servings of meat were reasonable and the meat was high quality. We all left stuffed and happy. The service was a little overeager. While it's customary at traditional BBQ restaurants for the waiter to do most of the work, these waiters were literally leaning over us and our food in ways that felt intrusive. I like my meat with crispy edges and one of the waiters kept snipping those bits off. This was all well intentioned but was a bit much. This restaurant is a nice spot if you want to intro someone to Korean BBQ but don't want to pay NY prices, it's also a great spot for family. It's tasty, but not particularly fancy.

Great Korean bbq. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The appetizer were great and they keep them coming. The meat was fresh, tender and flavorful.

Food was amazing, as always! I love that they use charcoal. If you’re looking for authentic Korean BBQ, this place is a must-go. Their side dishes and meat are just sooo good!

Juicy, tender, packed with flavor, and grilled to perfection. Banchan (appetizers)? Overflowing. They’re generous with those veggies and sides—like a Korean grandma just kept feeding us. Without asking, she gave us more lettuce 🥬 and we can’t say no! Atmosphere? Cozy and chill, but still poppin’ enough to feel like a party. We were so full and she gave us to go boxes. Anticipation? ON POINT!
