William Bethea, DO

If I could give a zero star review I would. See my original review of this physician under the Advanced Dermatology NSB location. I would never recommend this physician after decades of battling squamous cell sarcoma, this man doesn't want to treat disease, he wants a paycheck. When I sought a 2nd opinion the Dr at my new dermatologist found many cancerous and precancerous lesions that required surgical intervention. I'd recommend he just go work 100% in the cosmetic enhancement field and not treatment of deadly illnesses. Do not recommend

I was referred to Advanced Dermatology from a friend. (Thank you, Candy) I went to see Dr Bethea at Advanced Dermatology in Palm coast due to a concern about sun damage on my face. The office is very professional and they were very busy but they run a tight ship. The front desk staff were very attentive, had me fill out all my paperwork and I was put in a room within 10 min or less. Very impressed. Dr Bethea came in and answered all my questions and concerns. I felt very confident in the care and diagnosis and appreciated his professionalism. I am so grateful for choosing this office group. I had been to another dermatology office in the same complex that I went to and it wasn’t the best. So make sure you go to Advanced Dermatology and see Dr. Bethea or any of the qualified doctors.

I went to see Dr. Bethea to see if he would do a follow up recommended by my dermatologist in NY. Dr. Bethea explained different options (including pros and cons) and performed the surgery that I chose. He was considerate and thorough. I felt very comfortable that he was very competent and decided that he would be my "go to" guy in Palm Coast. By the way, I had originally planned to make an appointment at Mayo Clinic but they were booked 4 months out and the potential cancer that I had needed immediaie attention . Mayo recommended Advanced Dermatology noting that all the local staffs were extremely competent

Great Visit! Being on Medicare with supplemental insurance, I’m accustomed to doctors scheduling several appointments in order to complete my regimen of treatment. This certainly isn’t true with Dr. Bethea. The entire process of my first visit was EXCELLENT. I started filling in my personal data on an new, clean iPad with sophisticated software, which made it a breeze to plow thru the questionnaire. While filling it out, I was called for my appointment (i.e., not a long wait)—with "Ashley" telling me that she’d finish it up for me. Ashley gave me a concise pre-appointment interview to establish the parameters of my concerns; so when Dr. Bethea came in, we went straight to work. First, he examined me from head to toe. Then he proceeded to give me several treatments, cutting out a cyst, freezing some skin with nitrogen, zapping some warts, sending out a biopsy, etc.—all lickety-split. He did all this while listening and making me feel important as a patient—and definitely not rushed. Very rare, these days. Long story short, all my concerns were perfectly attended to, and I left his office not remembering the last time I was so pleased with a doctor’s office. Highly recommended. EXCELLENT! Note: I seldom go out of my way to review services, and I only take the time to do so for professionals who stand out as being among the best.

Dr. Bathea is just wonderful! He is so professional, and has a warm personality. He listens well and shows compassion and concern. I love this who group!
