Whole Kids Academy

Our non-Spanish speaking son started with WKA this year, after being at an in-home daycare for 4 years. We have been BLOWN AWAY by the kind, caring, empathetic approach that WKA brings to childcare. They are truly some of the warmest people you will ever meet. My son loves his teachers and friends, and we love how affordable the care is - and the hours of care that they provide. We were anxious about the transition to a Spanish immersion program, but he's been picking it up incredibly quickly, and the teachers and administrators (and even fellow students!) make sure that he always understands what is happening. All the above, coupled with the extensive amount of outdoor time they have each day (including on-site Soccer Shots!) - helps us know that our son is exactly where he needs to be. I genuinely cannot say enough positive things about WKA - it truly feels like we've found not only a school, but a community where our family can thrive.

Our 2 young kids attend Whole Kids Academy, and we couldn't be happier with the quality of care that they're both receiving. The teachers are unparalleled in their dedication and commitment to providing the best education (of course while making it fun) in a safe and loving environment. The WKA staff is also very attentive to parent concerns and questions. Neither my husband nor I are fluent Spanish speakers, and even at the end of a long day, the teachers go out of their way to detail how our kids' days were in English. Lastly, the families that we've met through WKA have become some of our closest friends, and it's clear that WKA prioritizes curating a cohesive community both inside and outside of the classroom. We feel most fortunate to be part of the amazing WKA community, and we're happy that our kids will attend WKA for years to come. If you're looking for trustworthy, dependable, top-notch, and loving childcare, stop your search -- WKA is the answer!

We love WKA. Our son has been attending since he was 8 months old. It is a safe and enriching experience. As another reviewer stated, they have SO many activities for the kids inside and outside. Our son is loved by all the teachers he interacts with and he is happy to go to school. It is a great fit for our family as we have the same cultural and parenting values. We are so happy to have found WKA.

I cannot fully express how happy I am with Whole Kids. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was immediately impressed by how spotless the facility is. Also, it’s incredibly reassuring to know that the building is fully secured with surveillance cameras and only authorized personnel and parents are allowed entry. Aside from that, the teachers and staff members are simply phenomenal. They’re super personable and responsive. Whether it’s a question about progress, a concern, or even just a general inquiry, I’ve always received prompt and thoughtful responses. I can’t recommend Whole Kids Academy highly enough!

We had a similar experience to another reviewer. We found the administration during our time there to be arrogant and insensitive when we raised concerns about another child who was hitting, biting and spitting on our son and multiple other kids in the class. **The director, Hannah, blamed our son and the other kids for getting bitten!** Hannah led a meeting with all the families and continued to blame the 6+ kids who were getting bitten instead of addressing the issue of the child who was doing the biting!! I regret not pulling my son out of WKA immediately. My son is now in kindergarten and is so much happier than he was at Whole Kids. We are too, and we are 100% confident that we made the right choice to NOT send him to WKA for kindergarten. We will not be sending our next child to WKA. The teachers at WKA work really hard and are great people, but our opinion and personal experience was that the administration during our time there was condescending, demeaning and unhelpful, and that the director didn't take our son's safety and comfort seriously.

Our 3yr old has been in 4 different places and WKA is hands down the best care we've found for our kids. The teachers are trustworthy, communicative and extremely nurturing. My son always asks for his teachers on the weekends, and they were patient with him during the transition to daycare, potty training, and managing big emotions. I'm so glad we ended up here.

Every daycare a unique culture and feel and much is from the management down. Whole Kids is family owned and feels like such. It is warm and family friendly and feels like a very family oriented daycare. Our infant and toddler are both well cared for and loved here. We have a phone app called Brightwheel that is updated frequently with pictures and details of the day. There are healthy snacks provided and the lunches by Balducci’s are very nutritious. All the teachers are warm and loving to our children. There is lots of outdoor time, various well developed activities and curriculum. In our daughter’s classroom there is a calm down corner and a chart of the zones of regulation-all things we also use at home and learned from our daycare. When we have had questions or concerns, the administration has addressed them with respect. Hannah and Ana have been very responsive and professional and communicate well with our family.
