WCTC Main Campus (Waukesha County Technical College)

If you are trying to get into the, HVACR class here at WCTC. Be aware they have a terrible program. One of the instructors is a elderly Gentleman who is in his mid 60`s. Does a terrible job teaching students. If you are prepared to hear his own personal life stories instead of knowledge about HVACR take their program. The other instructor is in his mid 50 does a decent job teaching students. I am not the only student who complains about about this instructor, students who are younger than me are in the same boat. there is no knowledgeable information being retained from their course. If you want information about this elderly gentleman's personal life and personal stories, and tangents about other subjects their HVACR program is for you. -TS.

My review is based on five different categories: Academics, Resources, Safety, Culture, and how Autism is handled there. I do give WCTC a star for academics, they do teach all programs only on the content as it should be the only focus. I give the Resources including safety resources a star there, as they do try to help those who seek academic help. Sadly those are the only good points I can give. Safety that isn't mandatory, is not handled correctly. Instead of trying to understand the nature of certain problems outside of Fire, Tornado, etc, processes to handling safety aren't fair and don't include everyone. Culture is also not getting a point as it tends to lead into a Liberal bias that not everyone benefits from, which leads to certain groups being recognized but not all. As for Autism and how it's handled, it also gets no star as that's the group of people who get the worst treatment around here. Now to be fair, what I just suggested could also be an opportunity for improvements in some places. I wouldn't rule out WCTC in general, but the weaknesses do need to be worked on. I only say this as an Alumni who wants to see WCTC go back to being a school for everyone, that can feel safe, is a part of the culture, and includes Autistic people as well, the school I once was proud of.

I had my orientation today at Waukesha Technical College, and it was a wonderful experience. The teachers were incredibly friendly, supportive, and welcoming. I found out my class schedule and met some of the staff. I’m really looking forward to starting classes!

Attended my daughter's Girl Scout Award Ceremony at Building S. Wonderful conference room venue for this event. Parking was convenient and close to the building. Space for lots of seating and stage was elevated for all to see. I'd recommend this venue for similar events.

I'm looking forward to work on allowances by departure home for 35th Birthday wishes and a guide tour

Avoid this school, they will lore you in with a hands on experience by showing you their servers and software but when showing up will only be hybrid classes. Never have I used their equipment only online software. On top of this after finishin the school they refused to give me a degree becouse they require a internship first but give zero help on getting one. Even got rejected from a internship due to not having the degree. (Went to school for information technology)

I'm a black female. I attended the MA program in 2024. The teachers were so racist to me; it's really sad that people still depend on color as the main factor. Very saddened by this school and the way I was treated.
