Valentino’s Hair Cut Up

Valentino was thorough but effortless while giving me a quiet yet drawn out experience I would HAPPILY tip $10 over the asking price because he was sitting outside taking a break but made time for me that I would never take back. it's chill. it's worth it and I'm gonna make it my monthly privilege to hopefully be welcome back there. Thanks Valentino. I was the whitest guy with the blackest hair that asked for a fade BUT NOT a drop fade and you KILLED it. I hope I kept my head in place enough to make it easy for you. HA!

This gentleman needs to learn to PUT HIS PHONE DOWN! GET OF THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING! He was in front of driving a black Chevy with his logo on the back, driving down Cloverdale towards overland in a 40 miles an hour zone he was doing 30-35 in the right lane that turns into the turn lane to turn right onto overland. He slammed on his brakes last second already passing 10 cars that were in the straight lane on Cloverdale making us slam on the brakes and he waited until someone let him in that cost us and others behind us to miss the light because he was texting the whole time and not paying attention!!! With others in the vehicle!!

I had been coming to this place for years with no problems. Unfortunately, last time I was in the owner made me feel bad for getting a haircut from him rather than Jeff. He told me I really need to stick with my regular barber. Jeff wasn’t working and I needed a haircut on my day off so I had to make due with who was working. Fast forward to the end of the cut. The owner refused to trim my beard because another customer was waiting. Apparently spending an extra 10 minutes on me was too much. This experience ruined my relationship with this place.

These guys are the real deal. After talking to so many dudes that have a barber I see why. In my neighborhood, skilled enough to do a good job and feel any changes I want before I gotta say anything. If I move I’ll probably still come here, 5/5 haircut. ALSO hit up that FIRST TIME DISCOUNT if your your bouncing between joints. You’ll know. 🤘 (Good/Normal prices too! I even got lined up with a straight razor for the first time. Like I said, these guys are the Real Deal.)

This is the BEST barber shop in Boise. Valentino is a great barber. He does amazingly precise cuts and shaves. He is also amazing with children. My three year old son has been getting cuts from him since he was one years old. Valentino is patience and careful with him. If you don't get your hair cut at Valentino's you're really missing out.

I called and talked to Valentine and he said to come right in and he'd cut my son's hair. We were there within 15 minutes and he wasn't there. 3 drunk men out front told me he left for the day. There was 1 gentleman working and he said he'd work us in. He did an OK job and I appreciate him cutting my son's hair with no notice. The guys out front came in 5 time to get more beer from the fridge. The problem was my 2 girls and I had to move off the couch each time so they could move it to get to the beer. Their yelling outside made it uncomfortable for my kids. We will not be coming back. Unfortunately it seemed more like a hangout for drunks rather than a barber.

Valentino has been, and is still the BEST BARBER in boise. I would put money on him any day for competition. The sign that says master barber is TRUTH . They provide for $20 what other people downtown are charging $35 for and they are better. I have been visiting Valentino since before Josh ,Aaron, and Yan worked there on Broadway ten years ago. He puts the weirdos at "barber story"to shame. I do not have to hear about comics or cartoons either. A calm real barber experience. So happy to have him on the bench now just a short walk away. As for other posts indicating vulgarity in the shop, I feel that’s a lie. Every time I have been the clients treat each other with respect they are not the vulgar type. I am the pickiest person about my hair I have been to almost every barber in town and none do the job that Valentino’s does.
