Buyers be aware when purchasing online. I when to this location to exchange a setting powder I had purchased online for a lighter shade. I was assisted by "X" the general manager. This man is so locked of customer service skills. He refused to exchange or honor the price I had paid for online . Are you serious. ?? All I wanted was same item different shade . It’s obvious they don’t care about loyal customer . Sephora has better customer service . X is just a lazy manager that don’t do anything at the store . His employees do all the work he gets paid for . Ps. If you buy some online and want to exchange in store . They won’t let you ..
The lighting in this store is SO bad that I when I buy something and I go home it’s a completely different color. I spend so long trying on the perfect shade of lipstick thinking it’s the a cute muted pink only to see it’s a horrible, tacky bright fuchsia pink when I leave the store. Now I will have to waste more time going back to the store to return and see if I can get the right color. But who knows if that one will be right. A total waste of time and money! Stop misleading people Ulta and wasting their time, and fix the lighting in your store!
I decided to try the Pureology Hydrate Conditioner in the smaller size before committing to the full bottle — and honestly, it was worth sampling first given the price point. Pureology definitely leans into the higher-end price range, so starting with a trial size for me was a smart move. It feels like a salon-quality product, and you can tell the formula is rich and thoughtfully put together.
I went in to this location February 2nd around 6pm. I felt like I was being stalked around the makeup section to see if I was stealing. At first I thought it was a coincidence and she was just putting items away near me but when my friend who came in with me pointed it out I knew I wasn’t being paranoid. For a solid 10-15 mins every aisle I was on, she would show up or peek her head around the corner. I ended up not even getting all the items I needed and heading to the checkout because I was so uncomfortable. It’s crazy to me that instead of suspecting the teenagers in the store that me, a grown woman was followed around. I would suggest doing your shopping online or heading to Sephora right down the street if you don’t want to feel profiled while buying some lipgloss.
I came into Ulta after the gym on Sunday, 9/7/25 at around 4:00 pm. Ulta is next door to my gym (Crunch), so I had a backpack on. A few of the employees followed me around the whole time I was there (especially the Clinique guy). I would have preferred to check my bag rather than be followed around like a criminal. Once I found my item, I stood in line and noticed how chaotic the cashiers were. There were three cashiers, but none of them were helping customers. When it was finally my turn, the cashier was very cold and rude. I guess I didn't spend enough money to be enrolled in the friendly cashier club. I will stick with Sephora from now on. They are attentive and friendly and treat everyone with respect, despite how the customer is dressed. They also allow you to sample fragrances, which Ulta does not. They have a few fragrances out to test, but none of the major brands. I understand that theft is at an all-time high and corporations have to take measures to protect themselves. However, this can be done while also maintaining a good experience for the customer. They could come to Ulta in a burlap sack and they should be treated the same as someone dressed head to toe in Gucci with a full face of makeup. Do better, Ulta.
BUYER BEWARE purchasing online! This store STEALS orders and claims you picked them up. The associates would not allow me to pick up 8/13 and I was on a flight 8/14. I let associates know I would not be there the next day to get it, yet they marked it as "picked up." It’s been months of me trying to get a refund but being told there is "footage" of me picking it up, although I was on a. Flight to Bali with proof of uber receipts and flight check-in confirmation AND a ticket. It’s been months without a refund and extremely poor customer service
I will never shop nor will. I ever recommend anyone to shop at Ulta beauty again. I purchased a mascara from a vendor TAR TE in a Phoenix Ulta, and they said it was great. It said it was a great clean mascara. Look good, I purchased it. My mother got really sick. She had a stroke, she's paralyzed except for her left arm. I'm her main caregiver and medical power of attorney. It has been extremely stressed fall. I live in a different state from her. I live in California so I call that I spoke to someone just before Christmas and things were pretty crazy around that time and I'd also been sick with Open for about a week and the girl was really nice. She said, yes, no worries, come in. You can exchange it for store credit so I don't believe she mentioned anything about the 660 day thing or I would have done it immediately so then I drove to Alameda from Oakland I live in Oakland California and I try to exchange it, not return it, just exchange it for cosmetics. They like to buy there and I was informed by not one, but 2 of the people that the system would not allow it, they could not do anything to make me feel better about it or Give me any kind of a coupon, nothing, no customer service.So I called the eight hundred Number and the guy wasted my time for 45 minutes. Saying that they would definitely do something for me. Then he referred me to some kind of a specialist telling me that they could definitely take care of it, and then she denied it. She denied me and said that she would escalate, someone would call me in 72 hours. Let's see what happens. They will definitely lose a customer word-of-mouth is very important and every customer counts. I've been in sales for many years. I'm a real estate broker here in the Bay area. In California, Northern California and you don't treat people like that. You make things right? You bend over backwards to make things, right? Especially for extenuating circumstances.. The product was not good tarte brown mascara. It basically looks like I have nothing on. Why would I even buy mascara? Tell me this why why won't these people make good on their products? This is BS this is like, what happens in government where people are totally unaccountable. This also happened with Samsung. I won't buy Samsung products anymore. I have a refrigerator the water ice maker thing has broken 3 or 4 times in a almost $3000 refrigerator it's crazy and they escalate it and they do nothing.. Also I will not do business with lowe's I purchased a dishwasher from them all in. It was a $1000. It sounds like it's breaking rocks. We had their technicians come out. They said it should be a complete replacement. Then kitchenaid came out and said, no, that's just the way it is. And so Lowe's has a 48 hour policy. I didn't even do dishes within 48 hours. And that's the only time you have to return it. I think home depot has just implemented that as well. A couple years ago, so Costco has a 30 day. I would rather work with Costco, they're wonderful. They know what customer service is. Do not buy ultra products.. They don't care about us as consumers and women.. Take your dollars, buy stuff online or go to Sephora or blue Mercury.They at least have better customer service.And i've never had a problem with them. JOY ANNA MERCEDES
