Spa-Angela gave me an amazing facial- best I have ever had! Hotel-We had a great room in the historic area overlooking the back lawn. Room was great but most of the wall plugs were so loose the electrical items would not stay in. Vue food was amazing as well as service, Edison not so much. Staff did not seem to want to be there at all-welcome/Host stand was rude. Elevator staff were so nice and talkative and helpful! We are there once a year so will be back next year!
my massage therapist friend Jordan L. referred me to the spa. it was INCREDIBLE!!! the experience from start to finish was an absolute dream. wonderful staff, amazing facilities, sweet snacks + bevs, epic views, and a really nice outdoor terrace. if you have the opportunity to book with him, you’d be lucky! and truly, any minute you get in this place is time well spent.
My wife and I spent a day in the spa for our wedding anniversary trip and it did not disappoint! The facial service we both received was one of the best for both of us. It was truly relaxing and as we came to appreciate about all of Omni’s staff, the spa staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a perfect day to disconnect with no device / technology distractions — something we always aim to do more often. My only gripe with the experience: We noticed folks would "hold" or "claim" sets of chairs / lounge chairs. They’d place towels and books on the chairs and go off and do their thing. Some of the chairs seemed unoccupied most of the day but essentially unavailable because they held them. Some just had towels and again, you’d see no one sitting in them for hours at a time. Not sure if it was just towels being left behind but in any event, it made it nearly impossible for my wife and I to find a cozy space to lounge together outside of water or the other spa amenities. This would never keep us from returning but in the future, it would be nice if Omni made a policy about reserving seating so it’s more openly available for folks ready to enjoy it. But worst case, my recommendation would be to get there early and hold some seats if they don’t implement any sort of policy! All in all, an incredible experience! Highly recommend!
Absolutely beautiful with the snow. I highly recommend. Take the time and walk through the entire resort. It's levels that most tourists do not know about. At night, the locals, not guest, pour into the resort. I don't think that's right but it gets extremely crowded at the bars and restaurants. I'm guessing it's a way that the establishment keeps the money coming in. I wanted to eat at 1 place and it was a 2 hour wait. Screw that since a server told me that they were about 45% capacity on guest to rooms. I feel like guest with rooms should have 1st priority.
We are locals so we can and do make this a regular staycation. The spa is one of the best I've ever been to. The pools are super relaxing. Especially the hot pool outside with gorgeous mountain views. We've had mixed spa treatments, mostly massage but that's nothing new. Overall well worth the stay at the hotel.
Provided Lockers are small. They do not enforce their no electronic policy. Sauna and steam rooms are small expect to wait for a spot or be really close to other guests. Good decor and ambiance aside from all the poeple openly using electronics which they say are not allowed. Great views if you can find a free chair to enjoy them. Expected a lot more for the price.
My brother is building a new house in Cary after severe damage to his home in lake lure and we thought this would be a nice place to visit to get away while I was in town. The pictures online look amazing, and while not priced on the high end, it’s clear that’s what they’re trying to present as. We walked in and were assaulted by a foul smell, which we brushed off (there is still a lot of recovery happening in the region). We got to our rooms and the scent was still prevalent - not ideal but whatever, good food and gingerbread houses were on the agenda! Sadly good food was not an option, everything we ordered felt like airplane food (not fresh and reheated) and while the gingerbread houses were cute, the smell is so off putting. We tried to be understanding, as I mentioned it’s an area still recovering from a natural disaster in some capacity, but you’d think they could afford better air filtration with what they charge. Not worth it.
