The Artisan Cakery has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 based on over 385 reviews on Google
This is a mixed bag review. I can't say I was blown away, but I wasn't disappointed either. The Good, The OK, and The Wary.. Let's talk about it... shall we. $$ 2 personal cheese cakes 3 cookies $40 The Good: The display is eye dropping. They really show off some skills in their small dessert designs. The atmosphere was relaxed and the customer service was polite and helpful. I settled on the chocolate banana cheesecake, and my wife got the Dubai chocolate cheesecake cake. We were not disappointed in either. They were a little heavy so we only ate half of each. But flavor wise they were on point. The Ok: We also got shortbread cookies. Cranberry and Lemon. The lemon had good flavor but no tart. So it didn't wow the taste buds. The Cranberry were meh. Delicious when you get a berry but bites with no berry is just a ok shortbread. I wouldn't suggest either, unless you like to be teased with flavor. The Wary: I strongly suggest you read other reviews on ordering Large cakes. Buyer Beware. I don't have any experience in this, but I feel that maybe they should focus on the small bite market more. Pros: Eye pleasing treats, friendly staff (My experience) and relaxing atmosphere Cons: Limited parking, inconsistent quality, questionable reviews on large orders
Met some friends here for coffee and pastries. I can't like: TikTok told me to come here. So I did. There aren't a ton of parking spots but you can park out in front of the building. The interior is super cozy and inviting. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte and a couple of chocolate chip cookies to go. My friends also had coffee and one had the vanilla blueberry tart. Their desserts are just about too pretty to eat! My friend really enjoyed her tart. I had a cookie later and it was delicious. High quality ingredients. Very friendly staff. Clean interior. Would recommend for pastries and coffee and would come back again when in Knoxville.
I turned 30 on October 2nd, and my mom got me a cake from here to celebrate. She picked it up Thursday afternoon and drove home to Morristown which is about 45 minutes down the road. By the time she got home the top layer of the cake had slide and was ruined aesthetically. After we cut into the cake after dinner the whole top layer completely slid off. This is completely unacceptable especially for a cake that cost near $100. I emailed them to notify them of the issue and their response was " We guarantee that all custom orders are assembled and decorated according to our kitchen rules. We produce 15-25 custom cakes per week on average, so the issues with the cake were likely caused by improper delivery / transportation or storage. If you are able to bring what's left of the cake back in, we can refund part of the cost." This was not worth my time given that we live 45 mins away. The cake did have a great taste to it but we were extremely disappointed otherwise and also disappointed in their customer service and willingness to fix the issue. We will not be using artisan cakery anymore.
Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and clean bakery, plus there are tooooons of sweet treats to choose from. I tried the lemon blackberry tart and it was divine. My husband and I are excited to go back. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
The best Macaron of my life. I'm serious. This Cakery is incredible. Absolutely stunning. Everything looks like a delicious piece of art. Bravo. 10/10 would recommend.
The sticker shock was real, y'all!! 50.00 for an iced coffee, a lemonade, two small sweets, and one take home slice of cake. Shew. HOWEVER, the staff was lovely, the place was clean and bright, and the pastries were gorgeous. My daughter LOVED hers and she's a harsh critic when it comes to sweets. My husband loved the chocolate cheesecake cake, and I agree it was pretty amazing. Everything was fresh and beautifully displayed. Will definitely be back as soon as my debit card stops smoking.
I’ve never had issues with Artisan Cakery until I ordered my birthday cake, and it completely ruined my milestone celebration. I clearly asked for an 8" chocolate dough cake with cherry and white chocolate ganache filling, and for "Happy Birthday" to be written on the board, not on the cake. I was charged $20 extra for this, bringing the total to $109.24 (half paid in advance). When I picked it up, everything looked okay. But once I got home and opened the box, it was a disaster. The cake was way bigger than 8", unstable, and already collapsing. The "Happy Birthday" was written on top of the cake instead of the board. And the worst part? No white chocolate ganache at all. I was so disappointed that I didn’t even feel like celebrating. What should have been a joyful moment turned into frustration and ruined plans. Honestly, I won’t be ordering from Artisan Cakery again—and I’ll make sure others know about my experience too.
