Went with some friends and it was great! Complimentary tteokbokki and all the food were very tasty. Service was ok but busy, we asked for a side of rice but didn't get any. The atmosphere is comfortable. A little pricey for the meal overall and I wish there were banchan or a side of rice for the meat entrees, but overall good food. Would definitely recommend getting the pong flurry (crereal milkshake) for dessert too! Bathroom review: very clean and nice-smelling bathroom with individual stalls. Soap smells good 🧼
Take 31 Korean Food genuinely surprised me in the best way. The space is small, but it has a cozy, welcoming vibe that immediately sets the tone for a great meal. We started with the pork belly, and it was outstanding. The pork was well-seasoned with a very natural, clean flavor—tender, soft, and cooked perfectly. Paired with the kimchi underneath, which had a slightly tangy, lightly sour note, it helped cut through the richness of the pork belly. Without that balance, the dish could’ve felt heavy on the palate, but instead, the entire flavor profile came together beautifully. The plating was also impressive; everything looked absolutely stunning when it came out. The Korean fried chicken was easily one of the best I’ve had—and I don’t say that lightly. I’ve been to many Korean spots and tried plenty of Korean fried chicken, and this one truly nailed it. Perfectly fried, incredibly crispy on the outside, and immensely juicy and tender on the inside. The texture, seasoning, and sauce were all spot on. Extremely well done. We also tried the beef ramen noodle dish. While it didn’t taste bad, it lacked seasoning and depth of flavor compared to the other dishes. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend this particular item. Overall, Take 31 delivers excellent food with great execution, especially when it comes to their pork belly and fried chicken. Definitely worth a visit if you’re a fan of Korean cuisine.
Food is very comforting and the perfect place for a cold winter day trying to find a place to eat at ktown when everywhere is fully booked (including this place, but the wait time was reasonable and they gave us complementary handwarmers when we had to wait outside which was so nice). The stew was very comforting and the pork belly with rice crepe and pickled radish was very creative and special. Loved how the radish was sliced to exactly the size of the pork belly, in perfect bite sized slices. The attention to detail was impressive. Service was amazing, servers were very attentive and they give complementary tteokbokki! We got our food and orders in very quickly. The atmosphere was very nice, intentional and warm, not cramped or stuffy.
Went for a late night grub with my partner and will definitely come back. It was packed on a Wednesday night! Service was busy but available. Small space but has that perfect college comfort homey spirit. Food and drinks were delicious. Portions were large! Can't wait to come back
I had a reservation for two at 6pm, we showed up at 5:30pm and they were able to seat us early. Great food, great service. The makgeolli raspberry drink was soooo yummy. We also got the Take31 Honey pot, very sweet, very yumz
Their chicken is always fire 👌👌👌 the spicy tofu stew also was great. I do not recommend the matcha makgeolli, that tasted VILE. Get the soju or jjabaegi instead
Food wise, this is more of a drinks + anju place than a restaurant. Had the spicy soft tofu soup, which isn’t the best quality but more appropriate as a second round after dinner. I like that they give complimentary tteokbokki instead of banchan, living up to their pocha vibes.
