Her presentation was powerful, informative, and delivered with both expertise and compassion. She took complex medical information and made it clear, relevant, and empowering for our members. I like Dr.Jackson a lot and she seems to be EXCELLENT at what she does, however, communication with her office is poor. I had a follow-up question regarding the medication I was given…. No response! I was sent to do labs and days went by with no response! I called the office and I was informed by the receptionist that they didn’t receive my lab work and that the PA’s were busy with other patients. I was told a PA would call but a PA never called me back. The receptionist called me back instead at the end of the day to let me know they were still working on locating my labs. The receptionist called me back a day later and informed me they received my lab results and a PA would be calling me back. Well…… I still have not gotten a call to discuss my results. This lack of communication is not professional and certainly should be accepted by the Doctor herself as this negatively represents her and her practice. This practice does not accept insurance which even more so makes my feel like a sale rather than a patient. I hope the office manager reads this and enacts some policy change in regards to patient care follow-up and answering the portal. My appointment and lab work was done on Sept 18th and I’m still waiting on my call!

I’m writing this review because I was deeply harmed by this practice and I want others to be cautious. I first came here in 2021 (I was living in North Carolina at the time) for acne concerns — it was my very first dermatologist visit. Dr. Jackson was initially warm, and staff presented several chemical peel options. I felt pressured into purchasing a chemical peel package (around $1,000). At no point did the clinic perform a patch test to check for an allergic reaction. After the first peel I began to break out severely (I assumed it was a purge). At the second treatment appointment I was chastised by Dr. Jackson for "picking" at my pimples — I had not done this and felt humiliated. My condition worsened after the second treatment; my eyelids became so swollen they nearly closed. I was embarrassed, felt like I had been scammed, and eventually stopped returning. Eventually I consulted another dermatologist who treated me successfully and told me I was allergic to the chemicals in the peel — and that a patch test should have been done before full treatment. I had roughly $600 left on my treatment package that I never used and never fought for because I was so humiliated by my experience. The practice appeared defensive in other patient reviews, and I never felt they took responsibility. If you’re considering cosmetic treatments here: read reviews carefully, get a second opinion, and demand a patch test (and clear explanations of risks) before paying for an expensive package. I’m posting this with proof of my visits and photos from 2021 to show how bad my skin became & the allergic reaction I had from a dermatologist who doesn’t offer patch tests, should the practice dispute my review.

Dr Jackson is very attentive , professional & in tune with the needs of her patients! Further, she’s an excellent listener & accessible if I should have any questions with medications prescribed. Without any reservations, I highly recommend her !

I have been a patient of Dr. Jackson's for 10 years. I, like many others, come to her to consult what would help my skin look better and thus my overall appearance. She never fails to give me her best advice. A quote for the procedure we discuss is given, not by her, but by a staff member. There is never any pressure to agree to accept her suggested opinion. It is up to me to proceed. She remains my Skin Wellness go to person. Always gracious; always interested; always reliable. It is a professional office in every way.
