I had a horrible experience in this Sephora today. I’m pregnant and my skin has recently changed. I don’t feel comfortable in my skin and my husband brought me to get a few products to help me feel a little better about myself. We found an employee to help, Sam, and she was awful. First she questioned my skin care routine and after I reiterated that the acne is new, I am content with the routine I have to try to keep it managed. I told her I was here for a concealer and foundation. She insisted on going through a whole skin care routine and told me all of my make up problems are from not doing skin care right. After a 10 minute lesson that felt condescending, I asked again to see foundation and concealer. She took me to the concealer that I had named specifically saying I didn’t want. I told her how I had JUST bought it from a different store and it was cakey, made my skin look drier and didn’t blend well with the foundation I had gotten with it. She commented that "this is the best concealer we have for your skin, you were probably not applying it right, or your skin care routine isn’t helping" I then insisted on trying something else and she grabbed the closest concealer in arms reach and handed it to me. By the time she was "color matching" me I had begun crying. She didn’t say anything, comment or comfort me. We ended up buying 3 products (one skin care that I didn’t feel I needed) because we felt pressured. I literally walked out of the store in full on tears. Actively crying. I admit that I’m hormonal from the pregnancy but I have never been that tearful that easily. I walked out feeling talked down to and made to feel like I was stupid. My husband felt awful because he had brought me there hoping to help me feel beautiful in my own skin again. I will be returning the products, but probably to another store…I’m too embarrassed to walk back into this one.
After years of shopping at Sephora, I had to make my first return because a team member talked me into, and pressured me to buy, a makeup shade I would normally never choose. When I got home and tried to use it, I immediately realized it did not match my skin tone at all. It was completely the wrong shade. I’m a VIB member and assumed I could simply return it the next time I went to the mall. I had no idea there was a 30-day return window, and they wouldn’t even offer store credit — even though one of their team members is the reason I’m in this situation. I live 35 minutes away from the mall, so it’s not easy for me to go there frequently. I truly feel the team could have done more to help and make this right. I will never go back to this Sephora — not only because the team was unhelpful, but also because the store is too small, always packed, and the employees don’t seem to know what they’re talking about. They pressure you and make you feel like they know more than you do. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Sephora.
I went in here mostly on a whim because I wanted to try out some makeup, and I've done a little, but my foundation wasnt really the right match. They offer free color matching for foundation so I asked about the service. Sherry helped me out and was incredibly kind from the moment I walked in. She asked me thorough questions, and even gave me advice on helping with my skincare that I wouldn't have known otherwise. She demonstrated the perfect match right away, and gave me a sample to take home. The entire experience was very down to earth, and we even got to talk about some other things which lead me to another place for my hair since I needed to get that cut. (The place is Wavelengths and they were also super awesome!) Thank you again Sherry! Definitely coming back more later!
Came in here to finish up my Christmas shopping and wow this store is great! I was picking up a couple things on my daughter’s stocking stuffer wish list. I’m sure I definitely looked lost in here looking for the items she wanted but a store associate was so helpful directing me to where I needed to find the items and thankfully what I needed had just gotten restocked! I’ll definitely be back with my girls so they can clue me in on all the good stuff this store has to offer 😁
Approached 2 different associates. Rude and not helpful. When I asked for help, I was met with a huge sigh and an eye roll by each of them. Must be a culture tolerated by their manager. If you aren’t a supermodel or an influencer I guess they aren’t interested in your money.
I went in to make an exchange of two items I know now that Sephora can refuse if no proof of purchase (but could have been processed) which I got the items as a birthday present. However if they would have looked up my account they would have seen that I rarely do exchanges or returns. I was NOT asking for cash back or merchandise credit I just wanted to exchange both items for another and pay the difference. I feel like they could have done the exchange as a one time courtesy if they would have seen my account and past purchases. What really bothered me were two things, one my husband was telling the employee what he wanted and had pointed to it, the employee proceeded to get him the wrong item twice and told him that he asked for the item she was grabbing. He was not - she was not paying attention and was very rude. The second was when I was asking about the exchange it was a primer and a Salicylic Acid (the items I just wanted to do an exchange for) the employee rudely asked "Do you even wear makeup." I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant and this has been tough pregnancy with my acne and I have been trying to take care more of my skin. Myself of esteem has been very low so with her asking me that and being so rude about it that really made me even more self conscience and small. I hope that in the future the employee will think more carefully what comes out her mouth before she speaks.
I had the most amazing experience at Sephora thanks to an incredible employee named Evelin! From the moment I walked in, she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. I had a ton of questions about skincare and makeup products, and Evelin took the time to listen to my concerns and offered personalized recommendations based on my skin type and preferences. She even demonstrated how to apply the products and gave me tips that I’d never heard before. Her knowledge was impressive, and her positive attitude made shopping a total joy. Thanks to Evelin, I walked out with exactly what I needed and felt confident in my choices. I’ll definitely be coming back and asking for her every time! She truly made my shopping experience unforgettable.
