Ryu Pa Martial Arts of Shrewsbury

We have been taking my 4 year old son to this Karate Class for 3 months now. I can’t say enough great things about Ryu Pa Martial Arts. We have been loving it! The karate instructors are great at what they do, they are patient with the kids and truly work with them to teach them the proper techniques and fundamentals. They have the perfect blend of discipline and fun required to be effective with kids in this age group. 10 out of 10! Highly recommend!

Mr Ben and the staff are excellent with kids. They offer a structured program for the little dragons. The staff not only teaches karate but discipline. We have been going for year, and our child still loves it and looks forward going to Karate. Ryu Pa is highly recommended.

Starting something new can be tough for a toddler, but this karate studio has made the transition so much easier. The instructors really know how to work with young kids, and each week he warms up a little more. Mr. Ben has been especially great with my son — patient, understanding, and so good at helping him feel safe and supported. We’ve been really happy with our experience so far.

I have so many great things to say about Ryu Pa, that I don't know where to start. They are so accommodating of all abilities, ages, and temperaments. The instructors are phenomenal about meeting children where they are. Not to mention, their programs target so many important skills for children: motor planning, coordination, strength, balance, focus, and the list goes on. I highly recommend you try them if you're on the fence!

Highly recommend Ryu Pa for karate and BJJ. Our son absolutely loved it and benefitted greatly from it. Mr. Ben and the other instructors are wonderful with the kids. 10/10.

Ryu Pa is one of the best facilities I’ve ever encounter that does any kind of work with children. Always clean and well kept, amazing instructors who value the kids and work so well with them and a great variety of classes for all ages. Couldn’t recommend higher.
