Two of us went for a quick dinner before a movie and left disappointed. There was nobody being attentive when we came in and we had to wait to be noticed despite not being busy. We got gyoza and pork buns for an appetizer without realizing that each pork bun was 5.75. The gyoza was slightly overcooked but passable. The pork buns were good but definitely not worth the price. We got the shio ramen with pork but were given chicken instead. The broth was okay but didn't have the savory flavor we were looking for. We also got the paitin ramen which was better than the shio but we still expected more based on the price and the images on the menu. The waiter also forgot about us a few times and we had to wait for an unreasonable amount of time considering how many people were being served. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be coming back.
My coworkers and I went for lunch. We have been here before in the past years ago and it was great. We went today and service was terrible, they kept getting the checks mixed up. We waited a long time to even give our order. Two of us went next door, order food and came back and they still didn’t have their ramen. The food was tasteless and cold. The noodles seemed like spaghetti noodles. The meat was undercooked. I paid extra for a "seasoned egg" and it wasn’t seasoned or soaked in soy. The guys at the other table told my two coworkers they made a good choice going next door to bring food back instead of eating there. Def will not return. I honestly wanted to walk out but was trying to be polite.
Awful. Karage Chicken very soggy and wet. Should be crispy. The chicken in the ramen was stone cold. They must have it in the fridge and just toss it on the noodles. Worst ramen experience in town. Would never return here and spend money without a formal invitation back by the owners. This place will not last. Also, the menus that they have displayed do not reflect the true prices in the POS. Both items I ordered came out to be more expensive... Shady practice and bad food. Steer clear of Tsubaki.
This was my second time visiting this restaurant, and I ordered the same dish as the first time: the Kara-Age (fried chicken) Rice Bowl. The first time I came, I’ll admit, my eyes played tricks on me. When I saw the portion size of the bowl, I wasn’t sure it would be enough to fill me up. But I was wrong. The meal was more than satisfying, and I ended up finishing the whole bowl for lunch. As a Filipino who loves rice, this place really hits the spot—it truly fills my soul. On my second visit, we had the added bonus of the chef personally bringing our meals to the table. It was a fun, personal touch to have that one-on-one experience with the chef. We took a moment to thank him for preparing our food, and it was clear that every time we came here, the food quality remained consistently great. The Kara-Age Rice Bowl, once again, did not disappoint, and I left feeling completely satisfied. It’s one of those places that I’m excited to return to, knowing the food and service will always meet my expectations.
Arrived a lil past 745 and they were closing at 830. Son wanted ramen so this was place was perfect location. Staff was sweet, food came out quick and waa fresh/hot, we ate and left about 840pm. Great and quick service.
I ordered the miso ramen, and it did not disappoint! The broth was rich and flavorful, and I appreciated that they made it spicy upon request. For less than $13, it’s a great deal for a hearty and delicious bowl of ramen. The only downside? The broth ladle they provided was absolutely massive—I’m convinced it was meant for cooking, not for an individual bowl. That said, the food itself was top-notch, and I’ll definitely be back!
This place is pretty decent. Food was generally good, not great. Price was on point and the food portions were good value. If you're looking for a pretty ok place that won't wow your socks off nor disappoint, I'd recommend this place. Clean, pretty good taste/value, filling.
